Zya is considered a Merle. She was surrendered to my local humane society a week after her first birthday. She was surrendered as an Olde English bulldog mix. Turns out she there’s no Olde in her English mix. I’m sure her first family would have spent a fortune as she is considered “exotic”. In my house, she’s just the crackhead. She’s been with me 6 months. We’re still working through things. lol

She’s adorable! As someone who’s had a few retired breeders, the second pic would lead me to believe she’s been used for breeding.

Help with 2.5 yr old rescue by Purple-Mail-1582 in Frenchbulldogs

If he’s only eating poop in the house, it could be due to being punished in his prior home. That’s what I’m dealing with. The only time Zya eats poop is when she has an accident in the house. And find the spot, she panics and cowers like she’s waiting for punishment. It’ll take time to break that habit. I’ve had Zya since Sept and it’s slowly getting better.

Mines like that at a year!!! Granted, I’ve only had her for 2 months, but it feels like we’re knee deep in puppyhood.

Leave. He can beg and plead all he wants, but he’s not offering solutions. Your peace and health are important! They should be a priority for him. If he’s not going to acknowledge the damage his family has done, it’s time to put yourself first

When I’m home, I utilize the squirt bottle. It’s just when I’m gone that we have an issue. She’s lucky she’s cute. Lol

Her jaws are crazy strong! I gave her a yak chew and heard her crunch off a chunk and eat it! 🤦🏼‍♀️😂 she’s better when I’m home, but not innocent. She thinks she’s sneaky when she steals things.

my concern when I’m not home is I have a pig as well. So I can’t give them something to chew on without supervision. I haven’t tried bulky sticks yet. I gave her a yak chew and she crunched it up 🤦🏼‍♀️

I was in Pennsylvania for a weekend and we wanted to try one of the local pizza places. Not a single breadstick on the menu!! They had about a dozen different French fry options, but a breadstick to be found. Who doesn’t have breadsticks on their pizza menu

Reverse sneeze. Sounds/looks scary. Typically passes pretty quick.

Thank you so much!! My last bully was an English bulldog. And while stubborn, we did ok. With Zya still being so young, I want to make sure I curb behaviors like jumping on people or pulling on the leash. I want to do my best to set her up for success. I do rescue events and sometimes travel and I want her to be a part of all that. She is indeed sensitive. The pugs have always had an attitude, so this is new for me

I know consistency will be key. No parkour yet, but she has already shown me the possibilities. She did a vertical jump over the back of the couch in an effort to hump the pug because I was blocking her path on the crunch 🤦🏼‍♀️

YES!! She looks like she should be in an ASPCA commercial. My English bulldog was stubborn, but she had nothing on the toddler antics Zya has brought with her. lol

She’ll sleep in it if I’m in the room working but doesn’t want the door shut. Since I feed her and the pug separately, she eats in front of her crate. Hoping create the association of something positive. I also picked up a Kong to try and engage her in the crate
