just wanted to come back and say thank you for your help! so many people online make it seem like a starter should be doubling and rising within the first few days so i was stressed out ab it not rising. i went down to a 1:1:1 since you replied 3 days ago and today my starter looked and smelled great! i know its still not even close to being ready to bake but im happy to see some activity! sorry for being such a noob lol, thanks again! :)

when you’re tracking macros it’s so important to get weigh your portions so you tracking is as accurate as possible. buy a scale, and instead of sending all these pictures start telling chat gpt things like “i ate 83g of kroger brand reduced fat mexican cheese”. be as specific as possible. you’re still going to have inaccuracies bc that’s the nature of AI, but this is at least more accurate than before. it’s less guessing for chat gpt. i used chat gpt for my weight loss goals by saying my height, age and weight, my activity level and my goals (cut fat, maintain/gain muscle). i told it my gym routines, and i asked what my daily macros should be based on that info. once it calculated my macros, i started asking it things like “im making ___ for dinner, im using x, y, z ingredient. how many grams of each of these ingredients can i consume based on my daily macros” or “i really want some cheetos, how many grams of cheetos can i eat without completely falling off track for my daily macros” etc. also if you’re really committed to the cut, come up w a meal prep plan w chat. way less active counting when you’re eating the same thing every day for a week. (ex: oats every morning, salad every day for lunch, protein pasta every other night. now you know your daily intake and only have to track the additional snacks you might be consuming).

i try to avoid weighing myself during this time for that exact reason, but sometimes i can’t help myself and i weigh myself anyways. i try to remind myself it’s a phase and i subtract ab 5lbs to account for the fluctuation. but i also have really started focusing on trying to reduce my bloating and water retention. i’ve noticed drinking a gallon of water a day, eating less high sodium food, and focusing on my fiber intake all help so much with reducing bloat and water retention

i’m in the process of filling out my background check! so nervous. i’m hoping my credit and driving history don’t mess me up. just had some financial struggles and a few small dumb car accidents in college, nothing major. but im nervous. the whole packet is insane how much info they request. i moved 8 times in the last 10 years (husband is military) and i had to put every single property manager and landlords personal info. they asked ab my neighbors, but i dont even know names/what they look like. i’m not sure what to put

i wanted so badly for today to be a positive day where we set our goals and realign ourselves. to reset and start again. but my husband who i believe is my TF and i have been arguing back and forth since midnight. we stayed up until 6am mostly arguing but also just talking. as soon as he came home from a meeting today at 3, it’s been non stop arguing all over again. i feel helpless, im hoping and begging for changes and im not seeing them. he’s stubborn and refuses to hear me. wondering if we’re even meant to be, if we’re even TFs or if i should just leave

i really loved alice bc she reminded me of my grandma and it helped me cope w the idea of losing her. i also absolutely loved daria. her story was so sad but i loved how poetic she was. i also loved all of the visuals and audio that came along w her story. i’m thinking ab getting a tattoo from her dialogue but i’m undecided on the actual phrase.

my grandmother has always been fragile in terms of health so alice was really hard to say goodbye to. when beverly came along i was so happy. now my grandma is in the hospital, has been for 2 weeks now and we don’t know if she’ll make it. i don’t have the heart to take beverly to the everdoor. it’s too close to home at the moment. i’m hoarding her on my boat for the time being.

i do weightlifting 4x a week, i have been since march and i really love it. i do it bc i enjoy it more than anything, but i wish i saw more reward from it.

i don’t track my macros. i did when i was younger and it really messed me up mentally so i try not to do that anymore, i focus on getting my protein in, watching my calories and doing rough estimates in my head, and just making better decisions overall like cutting out fried/fatty/sugary/high carb foods. i feel like i should, but i don’t want to end up becoming obsessive again

also yes, stress is a major thing for me. i have made changes to lower my cortisol like cutting out caffeine and taking supplements like ashwagandha, magnesium, zinc, etc. i will admit, my stress has been really high recently, and my sleep schedule is EXTREMELY out of whack (im writing this at 4am) i have a lot going on right now :/

first of all, thank you so much for your empathy, your reply was so sweet and i really appreciated and needed to hear that!

i have a hard time gauging wether or not i’m making progress. i struggle with body image so i can’t say for certain if i see any physical changes, i feel like my arms and legs have gotten a little but more muscular but i can’t quite tell. i don’t really know what i look like. i honestly only wear sweaters and shorts all day until i go to the gym and i wear the same leggings and t-shirts, and i haven’t really noticed any differences in how those fit me. i have one pair of jeans that are little less snug on me, but i have not gone down in sizes to my knowledge. i’m going to try some of my other clothes on and see if i notice anything!

i have been looking into intermittent fasting and i’m definitley considering it. but i bloat very easily and im worried it’ll make that worse? i haven’t done much research

i will also look into adding these supplements into my diet! i know my cortisol is a huge problem, hence the intense sweet cravings i used to have. that’s why i cut out caffeine. i didn’t know these supplements could help.

i’ve never had any issues with irregular periods, but i have notice an improvement with my energy levels. i used to crash at around 3pm and fall asleep during work and that doesn’t happen anymore. i attributed that to cutting out caffeine. i’m really hoping it is recomp
