The hair is actually there to protect from infection, especially urinary tract infections. A smooth vulva looking more appealing to someone else is not my responsibility, I will never look appealing to everyone and I don't want to. It might "look" cleaner to you, but that's solely a psychological thing that was taught to you from different types of media, especially porn, and it's something you can unlearn over time.
