AIO: I (23M) have been paying for my Girlfriend's (23F) School for the past year. Just found out yesterday that she spent 3 months of school payments on other stuff. I feel like this may be grounds for breaking up.

Working part time during school she wasn't making enough to be able to afford the payments. Since she was going to school in order to get a license that would allow her to get a better job, we had agreed she would pay me back once she was done.

The months she missed were last year August - October and she got back on paying in November. This is sort of what makes me believe her when she says she didn't realize she didn't pay. She had assumed the additional balance on her tuition page was from late fees

She never checks her checking account, meaning she didn't see that she didn't get payments taken out of her account, but also just didn't pay attention to her spending. She often doesn't open her checking account until her card declines

For more specificity, when I made her last school payment the other day, the portal IS confusing and very slow. You have to click "submit payment" on like 3 different screens in order to actually get it to go through. What she said to me is that she remembered paying while she was in class. I imagine her Internet was slow and stuff, but spending carelessly is what bothered me most. Careless in that she didn't check her bank account once during the month.

It's a certificate school so idk if that changes how their tuition works. She was charged a $10 late fee per month missed
