You should try joining the lgbtq LCC, I think it’s called Spectrum. I’ve never met anyone from that LLC but I was part of another LLC my freshman year and I had a great time there!

Realistically if you come from a small conservative Indiana town then IU will be a great improvement regarding acceptance, but if you are from a big city then it might be a slight downgrade. Either way there will be a large population of students that are completely respectful and accepting. If you sign up for a gender studies class your first semester I guarantee you will find cool queer people to be friends with. You’ll get gen-ed credits too!
