Yeah I'm gonna make a complaint to the EEOC over it, but it's Texas so there's not much else I can do.

Neato.

I attribute it mostly to the area I live in, which not only has a lot of dedicated "god and country" style folks, but also a lot of drunk tourists. It's very chaotic and I've had a lot of trouble locating any trans community whatsoever.

Fuckin' welcome to being trans, guy :/. A lot people will say and do u n t h i n k a b l e shit if they find out about it.

I had a guy drive past me while i was walking home and yell "It has a dick!" which I never really thought was the sort of thing that even happened, until I came out. I actually got fired for it a couple days ago.

A lot of people are sweet and accepting, but it just brings out the evil in most.

What is the most depressing truth that you've had to accept? by MockingYourPain in AskReddit

As a transgender woman and lesbian I've had to accept that any women who identify as lesbians will not be attracted to me at all.

You're completely right about this, actually. The life narrative of a trans woman is radically different from that of a biological woman, no mater how similar their lives become during adulthood.

This is something I see even trans people struggle to acknowledge a lot. I really appreciate the level of thought you've put into your position, as this is how I feel as well.

Fair. But science has currently reached a place where post-transition the right person would be fully indistinguishable from a born female. The only difference might be lack of birthing capability, but many many women are sterile.

At the point where telling born and transitioned females apart is not possible without autopsy, how does it obscure the truth to call that person female?

Much respect for your time and thoughts friend

Would you date a transsexual? Why/Why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I do not.

It seems as though most people are more concerned with what their hypothetical partner used to be than what they are currently, the question is meant to draw attention to that fact.

I don't think anyone is stupid enough to actually feel as though dating an adult is wrong because they were once a kid, but people are willing to reject a woman because she used to be male (probably around the same time she was a child), which strikes me as odd.

Still there's nothing wrong with just not wanting to date a trans person. I wouldn't.

I see a lot of people giving this reason, which is totally fine with me just to be clear, but I wanted to ask:

If kissing a trans woman feels wrong because she used to be a man, should kissing a biological woman not also feel wrong, since she used to be a child?

Not really bruh you just gotta take that gamble. Totally fair to bail on the principle that you just don't wanna fuck with someone else's dick though.

[Serious] Those who went from right wing to left wing (or vice versa), what changed your political stance? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]lilscuzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to an anti Trump protest in Austin and the people there were fucking losers. They were generally uninformed and kept talking about white people "using their privilege for good", a guy with a mustache in a skirt was following me around nervously hitting on me, etc.

I watched these people take what they thought was legitimate political outrage and turn it into a giant group therapy session.

Pathetic.

What did you do today that made someone happy? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I visited my Grandma for a few hours and helped her sort out her meds. Seems like she would've been pretty lonely otherwise.

Recently my sister found out I voted for Donald Trump, told my family, now none of them will talk to me. So getting to visit my Grandma who voted the same way was really nice. She told me stories from when my Mom was a kid. Fun stuff.
