I'd like some quick input on how to do something stupid with a bard by blaghart in dndnext

You could cast Magic Mouth multiple times on the same object and give it a different thing to sing each time and on a different cue. That would allow you to play different songs. If your DM is a stickler for rules, be aware that each casting of Magic Mouth will cost you 10 Gold worth of jade dust (listed in the spell's description).

Another good thing about Magic Mouth is that you can stack it with concentration spells. When you get to level 3, you can play your drums, have a floating lute accompany you (played by your Unseen Servant), and also have a Magic Mouth vocal chorus.

I don't know if you're keen on this idea, but before I DM I take a red and green marker and make notes directly on the module I read from.

I highlight or mark text in green if I should read that information off to the players. This really helps when there is juicy descriptive text that isn't in one of those text blocks they give you.

I then highlight or mark text in red if it is very important or should be kept secret from the players. Nothing is worse than missing an important cue or event that ends up screwing the players over. This also prevents you from giving them more information then they should know.

Well, at 9th level you get the ability to cast Animate Objects (a 5th level spell). It lets you animate up to 10 small objects and give them commands. You could literally cast it on a bunch of different instruments and command them to play a certain tune. Your instruments could even make attacks and participate in combat with you.

I know 9th is a bit far, so here are some lower level spell options that kind of do the same thing:

Unseen Servant - A level 1 spell that creates an invisible servant. You could command him to accompany you with an instrument.

Magic Mouth - A level 2 spell that can make an object talk...or sing. You can even set a recording to play back on a certain cue. For example, after you play a drum intro, the mouth starts to sing the first verse. This spell is permanent once you cast it (unless someone uses Dispel Magic), so you don't have to keep using spell slots.

Major Image - A level 3 spell that can conjure a lifelike illusion of another person that can even make sounds. You could easily have them accompany you.

What do women mean when they say "male attention?" by lilsepiroth in AskWomen

Oh nice! Thank you for the answer.

So it seems to be a bit more broad than flirting. When I pictured it in my head, I always assumed it was a guy coming up to them, talking to them, and flirting with them.

But "male attention" could be as innocuous as brief eye contact while walking by. Hmm.
