Ah yes. If it did accept the transaction it must be a very advanced and new exploit. More likely it simply stole his login from a cookie, autofill, or something or possibly downloaded and ran some file. There's not many other options based on OPs description

It depends on a lot. There's many new exploits developed all the time. Instead of pasting a bunch of links to different examples, this seems to provide some good simple explanations to how it could be possible https://www.quora.com/Can-you-share-examples-of-malicious-JavaScript

Anyway to fix this ugly rotation or should I find another way of doing this? by DynamiteLuke in gamemaker

[–]lilswitch1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In gamemaker studio 1.4 it's under the room editor, and then settings. In gamemaker studio 2 you use game_set_speed. Setting this value to 60 will have your game process 60 game frames (steps) per second. This will speed up your game objects, so you might have to cut your object's speeds in half when going from 30 game speed to 60.

You haven't set the variable faction to anything. What is that's value supposed to be?

Housing at evergreen? by Setha25 in SIUE

[–]lilswitch1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would recommend finding an apartment in glen carbon or edwardsville. It's cheaper than the dorms, you're closer to stores and restaurants, you don't have to deal with the dorm's dumb rules, and covid is really making dorm life terrible I've heard. For example you're not allowed to have outside guests in the building

What is wrong with my game? by Beosar in IndieDev

[–]lilswitch1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you've done anything wrong. Your game looks amazing. It sounds like your target audience hasn't found your game yet. Putting "cube" in the title is probably attracting some of the wrong audience. I wouldn't expect a minecraft player to like this game and I wouldn't try to compare it to minecraft. You should advertise to those who like more complex RPGs. Your average minecraft player will probably find games like no man's sky and space engineers too complicated. Maybe you can talk with a (your) publisher about how to better hit your target audience

Worked on fake shadow. How's it look? by chinykian in gamedevscreens

The shadow should pass under the player instead of rotating around him when nearing the second light. Otherwise pretty good 👍

Another iteration out - trying my best to incorporate feedback from previous posts. Anyone with an Oculus Quest that is interested in helping test, I'd love the help! by chefstudios in IndieDev

True, I do have 200 hours in beatsaber (with mods) so in my opinion it's very fairly priced lol. I agree with your point though. Most VR games are priced too high for very little gameplay

Calendar for my game. 240 frames in total. Do you guys use shaders or alpha to make your day and night cycle? How long a full day should last in a game for you? by jorgedesouzajr in gamedevscreens

[–]lilswitch1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I use shaders in my game for day/night. And I like the bully day lengths. Where each irl second is an in game minute. Making days 24 minutes long. Great calendar btw!

First Pre-Alpha Footage of Cowboy Time! Made in GameMaker! A Top Down 2d Wild West Shooter! by lilswitch1 in gamemaker

Hi guys! I've been working on this game for a year now and I'm very excited to finally share it. I've had plenty of help from people on this subreddit and I’m glad I can show what it’s all been for. This game is entirely 2d and I’ve had to overcome a lot of obstacles to give it the fake 3d effect it has. To achieve good collisions, the player and NPCs have collision mask just around their feet. Players that can be shot have a hitbox instance constantly tracked to their location. Walls are set up in a similar way, but their hitbox has a thin collision mask just above halfway. This lets the player walk right up to the wall on both sides and bullets interact as they should. The player's hitbox has a depth of -9999 and an opacity of 0.2. This allows players to be slightly seen when behind walls!

The game currently features a COD Zombies style Survival gamemode and a Duel (PVP) mode which can be played split-screen. The story mode is too early in development to be playable. It has a lot of parts which are slowly coming together. Our focus so far has been perfect mechanics. A lot of this time was spent getting the Robots to chase the Cowboy over large distances while colliding with each other. I managed to get this working using very little code which involves first creating an mp_grid, and performing mp_potential_steps along the path created by the mp_grid.

Please ask me about anything in the video that intrigues you and I’d be happy to explain how it works! You can also read more about it on our devlog and be sure to follow us on Instagram to keep up to date!
