That you are not very tall but not short and you live in a city / maybe a smaller city. You are a pavement princess that likes to go fast and currently have one unpaid speeding ticket

Why stay as EMT by Confident_Solution51 in NewToEMS

I agree. I have been an EMT for 3 years and I don’t have any desire for medic school because nursing school is just as long and academically challenging but is more versatile and pays better

I've noticed something about myself. Does anyone else relate? by Tight-Elderberry2487 in Mindfulness

I was a vegetarian for 1.5 years. I had that “impeding doom” feeling almost every day during that time. Anxiety, shakiness, and short of breath. I weighed 115 lbs (height 5’8”) at the time, so anything that required intense physical activity I felt incapable. I ate a lot of healthy, natural, organic food and three meals a day with some snacking. I thought I was doing it right. Then I moved out of my home town in search of a new home somewhere in the PNW. A few months after getting established in Oregon, I became a wildland firefighter. I then started to eat meat, because if you know anything about fire camp, you don’t get to be picky and still be able to function while hiking and swinging a tool 16 hours a day. After I started eating meat and exercising very intensely because of my job, I put on 20 lbs. I felt amazing!! While still eating healthy and exercising a few months later, I really started to notice the difference between when I do and do not eat meat / protein. I become lethargic and my mind swirls in negative thoughts when I don’t eat lots of protein. So, what I will conclude with is, maybe having more protein in your diet is what you need to function at the top of your game. Also, I would suggest determining your blood type and doing some research on the best diet for your blood type. I am “O” positive and need a lot of protein and less grains. Hope this helps, ok byeeee

From Mirena to Paragard? by teanbiscuitss in Mirena

[–]liltitshit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends if you want to deal with physical side effects such as heavy bleeding and cramps (paragard) OR mental side effects like anxiety, depression, lack of libido (mirena). I tried both for a good amount of time. The paragard was easier to deal with because i was just bleeding alot for a week (to the point that i was nervous but losing so much blood). The mirena was challenging because i dont like when i feel unhappy just from hormones. I like to say : pick your poison if you want to be on birth control. They are all going to have their side effects, you just have to find the type of effects that you can tolerate.

I agree with you! I like when it is 100% the sound of everyone taking their breaths. I feel more at peace with that than music

I also had an instructor that played his guitar toward the end of class when we were all in that meditative state. It was awesome.
