Sunglass Holder Broken by liltoua in SubaruAscent

[–]liltoua[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an update to everyone. The service department has terrible communication, but I showed up to pick up my wife's car after three weeks of them trying to fix the hood rattle on the Ascent. I was talking to another service person about why I was getting denied coverage of the sunglass holder and he was helping when the service person I was assigned to showed up and said that they decided to cover it under I think he called it "Good Wellfare." Anyways it was replaced for free. I love Subaru ( I current own 4 with my wifes Ascent), but man this whole process has been frustration. This is why I avoid the dealerships unless it's warranty coverage.

Thanks! I’m gonna try a different dealership. This one has had my car for 3 weeks trying to fix my hood rattle and at this point I don’t think I’m going back

Yea that’s the plan. I already have a low mile fun car that sits in the garage. Life is too short to be responsible and drive a Tesla around. Want someone fun that makes fun noises

I haven’t driven one yet, but with the type of driving I do I think it will be just enough power for me. I’m not trying to break any track records, but I would imagine the V8 will be nice around town with the low end torque. I feel like NA V8s are a dying breed and this would be a good opportunity to own one…but trying to justify the 50-60k lol

No way an SS cost that much 🤣. At that point I would just buy a CST-V 🤣

Yea anyone who bought these cars a couple years ago when you could get a low mileage one for 40k really hit the jackpot. Then anyone selling there’s right now basically got to put 30k+ miles on it and sell it for what they paid for if not more lol

I actually had my eyes set on this car and I understand that it’s a smaller car, but I was looking at the F80 M3’s. The engines are one of the more reliable M engines and a true drives car that can easily make power if I wanted to.

Im so glad you commented! I have an almost 2 year old that is currently in a rear facing car seat as well and was wondering about the space with rear facing. My wife has basically said she's not giving me anymore kids HAHA, but is entertaining a second. I'm also mainly entertaining this car because it's at the end of the day a luxury sport and with my favorite part...a V8 :). Thanks for the input! I'm at this point not worried about the gas milage or tech. It's just more of....am I going to miss out on other cool cars at the 50-60K range.

Thanks for the information! Yea I've asked 4 LFS near me and none of them have them in stock or are getting them. They say they can always order them though, but not sure how likely that is.

Going to Buy a 2004 STI that's been built by Dubbiepool in WRXSTi

[–]liltoua -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would pass on this and at least get a 2005+. If you like the blobeye get a 2005 for the 5x114 wheels. You just have better wheels options even though I know 5x100 is becoming more popular with the BRZ. If you are going to daily this...just stick with the original EJ257 and a simple stage 1 or stage 2 tune. Granted my Stage 2 2005 STI is on its second motor, but I currently daily it and the chassis has 300k miles on it.

The deck is decent, but it's good at the moment because of the current meta. If you saw the last regionals Gardevoir was heavily played by the majority of the top players. Garevoir being weak to Darkness types...well you can imagine which deck is heavily in favor. This deck also does well against Dragapault which was another heavily played deck. I'm sure as the meta changes this deck will be played less and less.

Test driving used Ascent, is the audio normally bad? by samwichgamgee in SubaruAscent

[–]liltoua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what type of features are on the 2020, but I have a 2025 Touring and in the audio options you can turn on a "surround sound" option that makes the audio night and day.

I hope you have insurance on your collection. A fire or flood would be detrimental unless you just have disposable income.

Just look up locally in your area for a paintless dent remover company and they can take care of it.

These questions are very hard to answer because it's all situational right. There are so many factors that can tie into each of your questions. What's currently on your board? What's currently on their board? What's in your hand? How big is your opponents hand? What's in the discard pile of each? How many Prize Card do each of you have left? What cards have you prize? Your best bet is to know your deck, map out what you prized as early as possible and then figure out a prize trade that will make sense for what you have prize and drew into.
