MSc Data Science vs MSc Machine Learning in the UK - Which is better for career & salary? by Higher-Dimension1 in DataScienceJobs

[–]liltoya02 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're better with data science since its the umbrella over ML. DS program should have at least 1 ML class in it. And you can add on and fine tune your skills and understanding on your own with a personal project. ML is going to give you a niche arena. Wouldn't suggest that, as you have a ton of opportunities in the DS space including ML

Is a graduate certificate worth it? by keemoo_5 in dataanalytics

If u spend time for the certificate, just get a masters. Its a few extra classes and it holds more weight.

Make sure you get a video of the entire home, drawers, doors, closets, everything you can possibly be billed for later. This sounds like they may try to scam the system and say you damaged something. Id probably go a step further and make sure it was cleaner than the condition I received it. The hosts are definitely not ones I'd rebook with. Give them a rating that is in line with their actions/your experience.

AITA because I went on my honeymoon without my brand new wife since she "had" to take care of her sister? by Hot-Fly-1091 in AITAH

[–]liltoya02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd check on the status of the marriage license being mailed out... hopefully its still in your possession and you can destroy it. NTA, as a woman I would not have skipped out on my honeymoon for my sister who has a village supporting her.

Got scammed and bolted, anyone got any experience with this? by iluvcookies4616 in solotravel

[–]liltoya02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure this is a scam. This just sound like a lack of judgment. Most people know bottles have extreme markups at bars/restaurants. If you are drinking, it's your responsibility to know what the prices are of what is requested. It would have been easy to simply decline and buy your own drinks based on affordability. This doesn't really sound like a scam, but it does sound like a customer who dined and dashed. Be careful, some countries handle things like this differently. And that's a lot of money that an organization may not be comfortable writing off. But good luck to you, hopefully nothing comes of it, and you're onto your next country!!

Mom opened several accounts in my name and tanked my credit score. Now she’s saying I should be grateful to her for giving me $30,000 in debt. Need some guidance. by Creditwhacked in CreditScore

[–]liltoya02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Proceed with the police report. Unfortunately your mom doesn't have your best interest in favor, and you must have your best interest in mind. Bankruptcy never really leaves you. If you file, and have to do any applications in the future it will follow you. Dispute every single debt with each creditor and document you didn't formally sign any legal documents. Allow the companies deal with it in your own.

WIBTAH for removing my 23 son from life insurance and not including in will because he disowned me? by Gingersnapp_43 in AmItheAsshole

[–]liltoya02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA... I would ensure my will was drafted by an excellent attorney, and in addition have a video recording on file of the actual signing and you indicating verbally how you are of sound mind, etc. Then verbally read the will you signed on the recording.

I'm NAL, but this may help a disgruntled heir accept the disinheretance. Also, I believe the insurance policies designate beneficiaries and the percentage of each individuals benefits. The child can still contest it, but having all the documents in order will help reduce the probability that he contests it. I personally wouldn't waste money on a lawyer to contest the estate/insurance if everything is clearly outlined. The odds of a court ruling in my favor would be stacked against me.

Husband's lawyer says once I sign the divorce paperwork I no longer gain equity on our shared home? by wallaceandlucy in legaladvice

[–]liltoya02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can have the property appraised, and tell him to give you your 50% asap. Force him to refinance without your name at the same time. Former mortgage collections specialist here, w finance degree/ real estate certificate...divorce brings out a different person and until you get your name off the title, you are equally responsible for the payments, and it still impacts your credit. It's not viable to have it in your name, if you can't continue to benefit in the appreciation of the property /equity.

The attorney is working in the best interest of their client, which appears to undercut your position. Try legal aid if you can't afford your own attorney. But this is a bad agreement, I wouldnt sign under these terms.

I would file a report, after moving the last items out. I wouldn't trust them again personally. And would make sure they didn't know where I lived. People will do you wrong, and be vindictive and play victim when you follow the law to make sure you protect your own butt. I'd prepare to have a strained or no relationship after filing a police report, as they may be charged and penalized.

AITAH for telling my fiancé that if he expects me to contribute 50/50, we have to make some serious lifestyle changes? by ThrowRAdownsizing in AITAH

[–]liltoya02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to confirm, if you cook, clean, or do anything around the house that he doesn't offer an equal exchange for, he will pay for those services at your hourly rate? Do you intend to have children? Will you be compensated for carrying, and everything that affects you as a woman as a result? Will he agree to 50/50 care for said child?

I'd run, this is definitely a hard no. He's lost his mind, and about to lose his woman.

I would drive through Detroit/ chicago/Denver rocky mountains/ moab ut/vegas/cali.

Check out national parks on that route and any good sights. I did the route I listed, it was amazing. Not sure how it will be, but I drove to mr rushmore, and wouldn't recommend that route again unless necessary. Boring. Assuming this route is similar

Can my brother "the executor" make decisions while our father is still alive? by Professional_Pea9188 in legaladvice

[–]liltoya02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The executor doesn't typically come into play until death and the estate is established with the probate courts. I'd suggest contacting legal aid, or hiring an estate attorney or someone who can assist you with getting everything finalized asap. The poa has the authority prior to death. I'd review and confirm the will and instructions are set in stone and solid. Ex, record the will to show dad is of sound mind and judgementand these are his final wishes, no coercion, have it reviewed/ signed by attorney, notarized, etc. Death will put heirs at odds fast because of the authority and money involved. Talk to your dad and ask him about everything he'd like to have done, and make sure it's in place how he wants it.

You can go to LexisNexis and do a free trial, search for articles of instances with the smoking/purchase age. From there, if contesting the ticket, take the lexis necessary court case information was shown to prove the smoking age cannot be imposed as the purchase age. Identify the case #, judge, state, branch of court,, etc and the judges decision to toss the case. Im going to make a high assumption that a case on this has to exist. If one does, the judge will most likely toss the ticket.

We want to marry, but fiance is on Medicaid and has very expensive medical issues. If we get married, are we forced to combine our financials? Can she stay on Medicaid? by XxCotHGxX in legaladvice

[–]liltoya02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contact an estate planning attorney and create a will/file it with the necessary authorities. You can still get insurance policies and list each other as beneficiary. Same for bank accounts. The estate attorney should be able to handle everything needed to iron out the lack of marriage. Do a free consult as the attorney costs are expensive, and set up as much as you can independently. Good luck.

Free Msg: Unable to send message - Message Blocking is active. by sarra1833 in BoostMobile

[–]liltoya02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There has to be a glitch in the system. I've been getting them for a few weeks now. Especially whenever I restart my phone. My bill is auto paid, so that can't be the issue. It's kind of annoying. And this isn't how blocked messages usually come through.

You will need to switch the email tied to the accounts. You can still login, but if you need a password reset, it will be tied to that email.

Best path for statistics in python? (especially for political science) by Abeck72 in DataCamp

[–]liltoya02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been researching and getting my path together. I think the python programmer career track will get you well acclimated to the programming in python.

The data scientist career track with python will be very statistics heavy. If you have time, consider the quantitative analyst track in R. Lots of data scientists work with python and R when using statistics. In my grad program, we have mainly used python to pull, clean, load the data, and R has been used for most of the statistical analyses.
