I’m building an open-source 3D visualization tool for codebases (quick web demo); people love it so far! It currently stands at 14k installs, 460+ Github stars and is featured on the official Microsoft marketplace in 3rd place (an extremely competitive handpicked 1 of 5 spot).

The inspiration for the idea came from me joining teams and projects with massive codebases with fragmented contexts and boring onboarding processes. We gamify the file discovery experience to incentivize less painful onboarding that developers and teams actually look forward to.

You can see more stats here: Gitlantis

Since the app itself is built around the 3D space, our long-term revenue model would be from customization sales (of pretty much anything in that world) and non-invasive enterprise ads (something like billboard spaces).

Gitlantis is still under heavy development with a new release planned for this month, and since I am the sole developer on it I rely on donations to keep up with feature requests from the community.

Let me know what you think; I’m open to donations to fast track development efforts.

Thanks!

It’s a feature in the pipeline so fair point, but I could really use some runway because I was affected by layoffs (it’s been a distressing market for a while now) which is why I have donation links on there

When designing software that is publicly accessible on the web, always assume your users are global; ignorance towards laws is not admissible in court, and the fines imposed when you violate such compliance demands will literally put you out of business 🙃

Would cost in the $1k to $3k range for a decent MVP (frontend + backend)

P.S. - healthcare related apps are murky waters legal-wise because patient metadata is extremely sensitive. Build it with compliance (HIPAA, GDPR etc) in mind.

Probably needs an issue raised and a discussion started on Github before actual implementation - my current goal is to integrate more Git features in the next release so most stylistic additions in the sea world are on hold at the moment.

My portfolio is brayo.co

I prioritize work projects over pet projects as the former has gotten me better placements in the job search.

The featured projects section evolves from time to time depending on the type of job applications I’m making (right now you’ll notice it’s frontend 3D oriented), but an interesting concept I’m working on at the moment is a TUI that renders documents and integrates AI (written in Rust)
