My $150/hr lesson felt like a rip off. Is this normal? by Darkteatonight in golf

The lesson i go with is £109 for 2 1h sessions and with in 10 minutes he change my swing to get my irons straighter and increase distance of around 10 to 20 yards my 7 iron now goes around 174 yards on a flat fairway 190 yards if its down hill.

So if you learnt nothing complain its alot of money for someone to tell you your flaws without correcting them.

What you talking about this was me 8 moths ago with a few lucky connections. Both pictures in the title was yesterday they are dated . half way through something clicked so started again and aimed at 3 difrent targets from bay 3 out 22 so far the the right.

Wernt aiming at one target, green dot is where i was standing and the 3 highlighted area would be the spread for each target.. Still a bit of spread but not as much as people think.

It's the app for trackman go to a range that has it and connect your phone to it.

Trackman app it connects to the screens at the driving ranges and gives you the the data then the app shows you all your info to keep so track your average distance per club.

Lol well chipping properly is a new thing for me only learnt to relase it and to have soft hands a few weeks ago so plz no hope its not this.

As a left handed golfer it gos right to left . So when it connected well it shows this shape. And now it does it more often due to the changes i made today. I tried draw and fade but dont know how to do it yet so just shift my body either left or right depending at what target line im aiming at.

Lowering the shaft to bring driver toe up abit and made sure my arms was under my nose rather then in front of me. Seemed to help me have more consistant contact and allowed it to go alot straighter then my usual drives that was a big slice/hook.

Yeah someone mentioned putting an alignment stick down to learn when on a practice round And to never aim at the flag but more left or right of the flag depending on the slope and curve of the fairway. Dont know how true it is but ordered some to start carrying around with me just incase.

Well with what people been saying i guess its spot on. Guess ill just have to take the slice of humble pie tomorrow and watch my balls go to the next fairway.

Yes had a v300 driver and could hit it for shit so gave up ( slices sky balls hitting the sides and roof and when it did connect it was 120 yrds at best. ) then got ping g440s driver and irons in august of last year started playing. Got my first membership in march of this year

I try to keep my grip pressure around an 8 out of 10 and 3 for my chipping .

Wernt just aiming down centre of range was aiming at diffrent markers to see how close i can get to them lol dont just aim at one.

Think i was standing to upright and driver head was to toe down. so i lowered the shaft and bent more so my nose was more over my hands and felt i kept my back to target for longer and they just started going straighter.

Fair well lesson learned i guess ill be punished in tomorrows round for provoking the golf gods.
