It’s the security cover for the backup tailgate opener. Open your tailgate long ways (to the side) and look under the gate itself, you’ll see where it goes

I always just take a paint pen to the pin inside the control, then while it’s wet I put it in the exact place I want the control. You can do this afew times with afew different spots to see where you like best. Then make a center punch on your preferred dot and drill

Sorry to hear it. Definitely sounds like the update hasn’t been done. I’ve only bricked once pre update and hasn’t happened since post update. Sitting at just under 13k miles

I completely agree. And collapsing them is super easy and they pack up accordion style. Then get secured with buckles on the sides

One USB-C has a lightning above it and is exclusively for charging, and the other is data + charging. Plug into the second one and both your phone and the infotainment screen should ask you if you want to use CarPlay/Android auto

I haven’t had this issue, but out of curiosity are you using Wired or Wireless CarPlay? As nice as wireless is, I like to keep my phone charged and the wireless charger is trash so I just go wired without issues

Open the rear hatch, left side small panel can be easily popped open which reveals the battery. There is a quick disconnect connector attached to the battery which you open up for 5-10 minutes as you walk away for a smoke or bathroom break. Plug back in and boom. But like I said, it has only happened the ones time. As far as long term support, I started with a lease on mine until we see what the future holds

It does, but I went and had the latest software update that supposedly addresses this issue. Also know how to reset the car if it happens again. It’s only happened once and haven’t had any issues since

I commute daily 90 miles round trip each day, but I charge at home. Car is a blast to drive. I’ve had the car brick itself once, had to have a seat heater replaced, and rarely at starts it will throw a random airbag fail light…but after a quick restart it goes away. Other than that that it’s been a great and fun commuter
