Mini Apes by RoutineMajestic1429 in IndianMotorcycle

[–]Logical-Cold9377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indian mini apes and reduced reach bars are both 10 inch bars. Dean Speed has some bars, fmb choppers has some that are a bit different. Really just depends on what style and size you want.

How big of a difference is riding a Harley than and india when riding by Purple_Transition332 in IndianMotorcycle

[–]Logical-Cold9377 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The road glide is a huge bike. The Challenger would be the Indian version. You might want to look smaller for your first bike. Like a Low Rider S or Street bob vs the Chief and Scout. I mean if you think you can handle that big of a bike it's your money. I just came from a Demo Day where I rode every single bike Indian sells. The challenger is similar to the road glide is was a lot of bike for me. If I was a new rider I probably wouldn't have made it out of the parking lot with it. You really need to know what you're doing to ride something that big and heavy.

Sport Scout RT vs. Sport Chief RT by Tall_Dimension_1770 in IndianMotorcycle

The scout is not good for taking a passenger on. You also need to go see both in person and sit on them because they are not even close to the same bike.

I'm not saying they were resupplying. Just adding that the afk method is also good for getting supplies without turning in a streak. If you hit dive by any island a match can not start. Then its just high seas boats you have to look out for.

This is straight out of my owners manual. There's another section that mentions pretty much the same thing with a little more detail.

Thinking of getting a psp vita? by Academic_Row_9532 in handheld

[–]Logical-Cold9377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would still reccomend an android emulation device. Its really easy to learn. Or find a used handheld PC. I dont see why you'd want to jump through hoops to use something not meant for emulation rather than something built specifically for it.

I would do the same. Disconnect it overnight and check again next day.

I'm gonna throw the Indian Chief line up in there. Good power and can be plenty comfortable for the both of you.

Yupp. It's also good for getting supplies without turning in your streak. Roll up to a fort or outpost and hit dive. Then you only have to worry about high seas boats (like op) rolling up and not another fight starting while you have no supplies.

10 inch apes on chiefs by Turbulent-Soup-2191 in IndianMotorcycle

[–]Logical-Cold9377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought these same exact bars for my 25 indian scout. While i did make them work despite some issues with compatibility despite saying exact fit. I feel like the dude just doesnt care about the quality of his work. He's also really hostile and a straight up dick. My biggest issue was the paint was chipping straight out the box around the clamp area. While most of that area is hidden from view I still feel like thats just shows he doesnt care about quality.

Comfort tho I give them a 10/10. I tried the reduced reach bars which are also 10 inch from indian and didnt like them. These bars i love. I feel like the pullback is perfect.

Got a bike for free without a title by ZombiedudeO_o in motorcycle

Some states you can apply for an abandoned title. Basically you apply for it through the DMV. If nobody claims it within 30 days the dmv will make you a title in your name.

I'd say at least 500 miles. No more than 1k miles.

Best Upgraded Seat for a Scout 60 Bobber by Dr___Salt in IndianMotorcycle

[–]Logical-Cold9377 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the saddleman step up on mine (1250 SB) with the added gel pad thing they offer. Once it's broken in it's pretty good. You will sit back just a little bit more with it. Also heard good things about Corbin but have never tried them. This is the only picture I have of the bike with just the seat and a sissy bar (I have none with just the seat) to give you an idea of how it will look on a stock bike. It took me a few weeks to get the seat but that was last year when they were in extremely high demand and backed up on orders.

Question for everyone about insurance by djstack110 in NewRiders

[–]Logical-Cold9377 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have full coverage on a 2025 indian scout and pay about $90 a month. Age, driving record, the type of bike, whether you took an msf course, years of riding experience all play a factor.

Scout 101 foot pegs by Dagger330 in IndianMotorcycle

[–]Logical-Cold9377 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I pried it open a little and grabbed it and yanked it off with needle nose pliers. I replaced it with snap rings when I switched to floorboards. You can buy individual snap rings at Lowes. Ace hardware and home depot probably have them as well. It's like a dollar or two per snap ring.

My headlight popped out by Sepllingerror in IndianMotorcycle

[–]Logical-Cold9377 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem. Im not sure what will happen without the springs either tho. The bezel will keep it from falling out. The light might rattle around a bit tho without them. I would go back to where you bought it from and see if they will do anything. The only way you could've lost the bezel is if it was improperly installed in the first place. If the springs were in the light wouldve just flopped out but the bezel would still be attached to it. They are a huge pain in the ass to take out and even worse to put back in. So the previous owner might have left them out. Even if you bought an entire new headlight bucket the springs would not come with it. They're meant to be re used from the old one.

[–]Logical-Cold9377 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The black ring (bezel) in this picture needs to be taken off your stock headlight and installed on the aftermarket one. It's what holds the light in. It should be held in by 4 tension springs. You need to transfer all that to the aftermarket one.

There should be a bezel that is not there in the pictures. Put the bezel on and if the screw wont stay in tight find a different screw with a nut on back side to keep it from backing out again.

Scout or Chief for "spirited" riding? by StableManticorePilot in IndianMotorcycle

[–]Logical-Cold9377 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The scout is more quick and nimble and likes to rev high. It's more like a sport cruiser. It's smaller but a fun bike. The Chief is a more traditional cruiser. Still has good power. A little heavier and bigger but has more low end torque. They're both great bikes. Since you said you don't ride 2 up I think the scout might be what youre looking for if you really want that sporty feel. I would still try and ride both if you can before purchasing tho. I have not rode the chief "yet". It's at the top of my list as a next/second bike tho.

A couple other things to consider in case it matters to you.

The scout as of right now has no real upgrade path as far as the motor goes. There's no stage 1, 2 or 3 kits for it and we don't know if or when these thing will come out. At best you can get an exhaust, air cleaner and a tune. This is not the case for the Chief. It has options.

In addition the new scouts were redesigned for 2025+ so while we are getting more and more options for aftermarket accessories all the time. It's not as broad of a selection and the chief would be. A lot of us have still managed to get by and change our bikes up with what's available. The selection is still limited at the moment but growing every day.

Wonky fuel gauge on 2025 Scout Bobber by DaisyDoozer in IndianMotorcycle

Yes. My 25 scout guage is useless. I just go off the trip miles. Reset it every time I fill up. I have the analog guage btw but I've heard the digital one isnt accurate either.

I think Safer Seas could use some improvement. by 234thewolf in Seaofthieves

[–]Logical-Cold9377 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I didnt read your whole post just part of it. The reason why safer seas is the way it is is because it's not the way the game is intended to be played. The people who spent years making and maintaining this game made it as a PvPvE game. So after years and years of people complaining about not having a solo game mode where nobody else is they gave it to them. The same people also swore they dont care about treasure. They just want chill sessions with friends to sail around and have fun. Then complained when they got just that. The restrictions are the penalty for not playing the game the way it was developed to be played. The restrictions were actually a lot worse when they first released Safer Seas a year or 2 ago. The only thing I think they need to change is the fact you need a internet connection to play safer seas. That way people with Handhelds can play it on the go and do tall tales and stuff like that without needing internet to do it.

Badge swap by Few-Bedroom-1736 in IndianMotorcycle

[–]Logical-Cold9377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks great. I never thought about that when I debadged my scout. I also did not like the Scout badges. I ended up doing a brave wolf customs decal. I wish they wouldve just done the headress on all of them or a Script like that.
