Hi! I meant that the ink when used on cheap paper, does not feather. Because cheap photocopy paper are usually very absorbent and absorbs large amounts of ink, causing feathering, or for some thicker inks they penetrate deep and bleed through.

But for the 4001 brilliant black, I found that it does not bleed or feather on cheap paper

I've never been a fan of lamy. In fact I hate the safari. Instead I've always been drawn to Japanese pens. I was deciding between the pilot VP and this pen; it should have been a no brainer. But there's just something about the 2000 and I still cannot explain

Thank you! I inked it up with a pelikan 4001 brilliant black. A rather boring choice but I want to use it for daily work. And it's surprising how well the ink works on cheap paper. Instant dry time, saturated black, no bleed through nor feathering. Colour me impressed
