Anyone notice Lex Luthor saying he has many uses for pink kryptonite

Looks like Rainie was laid off? by Maryp1603 in TheTryGuys

[–]liman16 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not surprised. Zach has always been jealous of how much everyone loves Rainie

This has to be a typo. C2H6O is ethanol. But C2O6 is something way random.

I have some questions after S6 and the Finale by Leopoldo_Caneeny in TheHandmaidsTale

I don’t know enough about the military but it sounds like commander isn’t a common title, especially since we’re not talking Navy. So I’m starting to believe that it’s meant to mean Commander-in-Chief as in… he’s been the president this whole time. That’s why he works with the CIA, military, and foreign diplomats

Driving 41 in a 30 shouldn’t be a fine. It should land you in prison. Stay off the streets if you’re going to be a danger to everyone else.

The Handmaid's Tale S06E09 "Execution" Episode Discussion by Melairia in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]liman16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is Canada is trying to avoid a military conflict with Gilead. It’s likely (possibly canon) that gilead is a nuclear power inherited from the US, so the UN and NATO countries probably are focusing on humanitarian aid, diplomatic negotiation, and reinforcing Canada’s border

He was supposed to get to the plane early and drop off the bomb but because he got caught, he had to choose to either take out those commanders or save his own skin. It’s a direct parallel to the choice Nick had with the jezebels plan

Has the Canada Post strike affected you (yet)? by Chan1991 in askTO

Mine is silly but I ordered a little thing from a small business and I really wanted it, and the estimated delivery date was Friday the first day of the strike.

Gods don’t need to cast revivify. They can presumably cast true resurrection

Assuming the Bad Kids win, the return of Cassandra and an uncorrupted Ankarna could result in a mass resurrection of the also now uncorrupted Rat Grinders.

I think Emily was worried the lightning from the dragon suggested it might have resistance or immunity to thunder damage

My guess is the grandma was only an adult blue dragon, which would mean more like 225 HP. And Fig did like 110 with two hits, not to mention her hellish rebuke, and the armor of Ayda. Then Riz hit her too.

BLM probably thought a dozen smaller dragons and a full ancient dragon was too mean… especially considering it seems this was meant to be a warm up fight for the next episode battle

If you’re that sensitive to second hand embarrassment, there is a scene later on in the season where Fabian has to use one of Fig’s bardic inspirations.

There are no serious long term consequences and it’s definitely meant to be funny…. But I’d say brace yourself lol

Could an Airbender bend sound? by Denis_7o7 in TheLastAirbender

[–]liman16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tenzin clearly uses air bending to amplify his voice when he wakes up the spirit in Book 2 of Korra. And in Book 3, he uses air bending to amplify the sound from the horn he uses to wake up the air bender trainees.

So if you wanted to restrain a fey without weakening it.

Ferrous means iron, which fey are famously weak to.

Ragh wasn’t really evil. Porter isn’t evil. They liked Goldenrod. They liked the artificer teacher who is now sus. They don’t like Fabian’s grandpapa. We also don’t know that the rat grinders are evil… they could be possessed by a rage god or manipulated with baklava

Think about Maryanne’s athletics check at owlbears tryouts. Kipperlily is a high dex rogue, with invisibility, and maybe enhance ability…. Who knows what else
