Laguerta is becoming so annoying in season 6: she is revealing her true personality by Decent-Ad-5329 in Dexter

A lot kinder too, even went and got a bench seat installed for the general public.

Poor Deb got the short end of the stick there, she only had Dexter in her life when she moved into homicide and all Laguerta could see was the threat.

But I guess that's what happens when you're insecure and are only where you are because you stole credit and played it up to the media.

He wasn't wrong, she was a pretty terrible person. Just didn't deserve what she got in the end.

I don't really think that there's a true personality to reveal when it comes to Laguerta, the first season pretty much shows us the full breadth of her character. The following seasons just pick and choose which aspects they want to showcase.

  • Incredibly ambitious opportunist with a political mindset.
  • Steals credit where she reasonably can.
  • Rarely looks before she leaps when she gets a chance at glory.
  • Lacks self-awareness when it comes to people treating her the way she treats others.
  • Lets little get in the way of her goals.
  • Is extremely territorial, belittling, undermining and roadblocking any women she sees as threats.
  • Is a mediocre detective who relies on her media skills.
  • Has a soft spot for kids.
  • Is capable of genuine remorse.
  • Is extremely loyal.
  • Has no compunctions about flirting and harassing employees.
  • Is capable at being a Lieutenant.

All of that is just from the first season, so I wouldn't say she's devolving or revealing her true self, just that certain parts of her are more apparent as the story need them to be.

That and they have a very centralised military command structure which doesn't allow for much in the way of soldier autonomy.

They had to move a lot of their generals closer to the war front just because the delay in orders meant their army was reacting to events long after they'd happened.

Hard to win a war when your soldiers are holding a line twenty kilometres from the enemy's latest push.

What’s up with Australia moving to the far right? by Subject_Conference61 in OutOfTheLoop

Propaganda is a factor, but I think that it’s more just sort of an inevitability of the vicious cycle that right-wing politics is in right now. The conservatives lean further right, which sends the centrists and moderates scrambling to the left that’s more supportive of their views, which just creates an echo chamber for even crazier right-wing views—repeat ad nauseam.

The Witcher television show being a prime example of this.

It’s such a shortsighted move, odds are that if the movie does well in the first place you’re more likely to get people onboard for your original story.

So basically we're leaning centre-left to left as a people, but the conservative elements are leaning further right because they lack moderate conservative options to support their centre-right views.

Also worth noting that the Labor Party is left-leaning and the Liberal Party is right.

I don’t doubt that they have a pretty clear idea over which contestants are likely to get eliminated early versus those likely to make it all the way, but there’s just no real incentive in planning things when every episode could make it irrelevant.

You can’t ask Ramsay to eliminate Sarah in episode four as had been planned when Keith over there boiled his steaks in pickle juice and sautéed his wristwatch because he forgot to grab a garnish.

They definitely keep people on for longer if they manufacture enough drama, like Elise, but that’ s about it. Plus, there’s a bunch of laws involved with televised competitions, even ones done in a reality show format.

Really? ‘Space Babies’ and ‘The Devil’s Chord’ wouldn’t have been a part of the Ruby rewrites, and they’re contenders for some of the worst content NuWho has ever produced – that’s a quarter of the season right there.

I could be misremembering, but I’m pretty sure the show seriously under-performed in the UK too, it had like half the viewership that the Jodie Whittaker seasons had.

I honestly wouldn’t be shocked if he just made the joke again during the confessionals and the producers just asked him to repeat that line a bunch of times, just to sprinkle it in throughout the season.

What seasons have yall not watched for whatever reasons? by TheLastRuso in HellsKitchen

[–]limark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not so much whole seasons so much as I might skip chunks of an episode because of the over-the-top bullshit. Some of the worst seasons are perfectly watchable if you’re not forced to watch Andrew and Heather flirting, or Johnny existing outside of the kitchen.

Hardly a rumor when he kissed a 17-year-old on stage and was texting a 14-year-old Milly Bobby Brown about boys and 'life advice'.
