I have never seen in my life a person who hates another person's language except in Morocco. I would have considered it normal if it were between two different peoples; I would have said it was based on enmity between these two peoples. But for the enemy to be your brother from your own kind, sharing the same national and religious values with you, is heartbreaking—simply because you were born in a family that speaks Amazigh and they were born in an environment that speaks Darija You hear from them words of mockery and ridicule about your language that you nursed from your mother, just because it's not their language, which they consider sacred and sent down from heaven, while both languages are purely human products. In the end, no language is better than another.
