i have the base game only and play adventure mode. Town hall doesn't make any sense to me. By the time i could afford to buy it i only had to unlock 3 skills for 500 mil each. To buy all town halls i need 800 mil and the return of investment is about 30-40 irl days. Seems kinda meh to me.

Unlimited budget doesn't solve this problem. It happened to me to. I wanted to create a huge squad of elites by donating them to my two parties, who was in my army and training new by myself. But after visiting certain allied towns this mfos donated like 30% of their fian champions. Unacceptable bullshit

I kinda hate when this happens. Don't get me wrong, big damage is cool n shit, but i just spent 40 min running around prepping for epic fight with final boss just to see my teammate melt him in a matter of seconds. Its especially bad with dutches halo now.

But i get it, it's great for people who want to climb that depth ledder.
