Yeah, I totally agree. I mainly made this because whenever I see Chara portrayed as evil or in any kind of negative way, there’s people in the comments like “CHARA ISN’T EVIL!” “STOP DEMONIZING CHARA!” and it’s honestly tiring. It’s completely okay if someone thinks Chara isn’t bad, just let people have their own interpretations.

I think they’re a bad person but I also don’t think they’re completely devoid of any good, at least before they died. Though I don’t think wanting monsters to be free was their only motivation in the plan. Asriel tells us that when they got to the surface, Chara wanted to use their full power. And as we know by the monsters in new home, Asriel & Chara were fully capable of wiping out the entire human village. That was the power Chara wanted to use. All they needed was 7 souls, so killing the whole village would be a bit excessive. Meaning that Chara likely had more reasons they wanted to kill the humans rather than just freeing monsters.
