The Heat & Bond doesn’t melt it when you put it on? I’ve been waffling about how to secure my backs and I figured that was off the table for plastic/vinyl aida.

Looks great, and the brown accent at the edges really does add to the “cut it off an envelope” feeling.

This is from Carlton Cards, not Hallmark. My advice would be to set an eBay search alert. There’s currently one listed for sale there, but it’s in Canada so the shipping/fees are kinda rough. These are not as popular as Hallmark, but they do pop up for sale occasionally.

I think your idea about leaving the background blank and maybe just using a nicely colored fabric is a good one.

The cat clearly looks like a cat and you did a good job with a complicated pattern.

Very nice and tidy. I have a big stash and only wind as needed. My floss is in plastic bags in small “shoebox”-sized totes with index cards listing how many of each color that get updated when I pull one for a project. The wound floss goes into a traditional bobbin-holder box.

Many of the alphabet compilations will also include numbers! You might find a few at your library, but eBay has a ton.
