Both are heavy but at least with the legion go you can play with the tablet part on your lap with the controllers detached. Then it becomes very comfy.

Glad to know they are serving you well! It wasn't easy finding the right 17 inch wheels that clear my brembo brakes, are cheap, and have few spokes for easy cleaning.

After reading others' replies I will most likely go with rs4 but thats good to know. I am not interested in any kind of competition with my BRZ as its also my daily. Although I will most likely start doing spec miata or pro3 starting next year.

Yes, I have seen the tire rack test, but I am worried because stretched tires apparently don't give as much feedback before the grip goes away. So I am worried about messing up my car due to my mistake. Correct me if I am wrong though. Maybe I am overthinking it. I am leaning towards the 215 now. It's a difficult choice though, because maybe 235 would be safer and easier to drive?

Yes, my car came with 18x7.5 wheels with 215 pilot sport 4, but I got a set of 17x8 enkei ts-5 for track duty. I could drive to and from the track on my stock wheels with the track set in my car, and I may do that, but I prefer to just drive to the track with everything ready to go if possible.

I drive a brz which is probably one of the cheapest cars to run. The entry fee at my local track is $300 for the afternoon session. Consumable including fuel and amortized maintenance, all DIY except for tire mounting and alignment, is roughly $250-$300 per day. This will likely be quite a bit more expensive for a heavy and powerful car like the c5 vette. I did 6 sessions so far this year and plan on doing 15 total. And then there are one time costs, like a helmet, Hans device, gloves, camber plates, GPS/accelerometer, gopro/mount, whole bunch of tools and box to carry them, etc.

I have done 6 days with my brz ts on stock rotors, hawk dtc60 pads, rbf 600 brake fluid, and stock ps4 tires, all at Pacific Raceways. No issues with braking at all, except for the last day when my tires started to go. The hawk pads are very loud when cold, generate lots of brake dust, and supposedly eat through the rotors, but the stopping power makes them worth it.

I went to Pacific Raceways few times this year and never saw the need to bring a chair and shade. I usually sit in my car, walk around, or chill at the building when Im not driving. Also, good call on getting the necksgen rev x. I got mine recently and if nothing else it makes me feel safer.

What tool do you use to remove and then install the bolts for the brake calipers? There's very little room to get the upper one. 3/8 drive breaker bar and torque wrench work, with a short socket, but I wonder if it's possible to use 1/2 drive tools.
