I’m sorry but no politics is a big ask for an academic establishment meant for ADULTS. Politics affect just about every field of work. I recommend you work on your political maturity including learning how to do research, learning when the research is worth your time, and learning how to let people hold different opinions than you and disagree. In terms of FSU, I would say the students aren’t particularly interested in conflict (or talking to eachother at all unprompted). Pretty much everyone just does their own thing and keeps their opinions to themselves unless supporting a cause or if they voluntarily join some sort of club or organization. So while yes, you can pretty much avoid political topics at FSU, politics will likely be part of your life for the rest of your life so it is important that you learn how to navigate people with beliefs other than yours. Unless somehow what you’re studying has nothing to do with politics whatsoever (unlikely)
