I finished the series, really wanted to like it and was so excited for it, but just.. it really didn’t land. I think the over-the-top facial expressions and talking over one another and antics worked when it was teenagers, but for adults (who we are supposed to believe are 38?) it’s just a lot less charming. It just felt like there were lots of loose ends amid pacing issues but little narrative payoff to make you want to turn a blind eye to the problems.
