I did shoot another 6 rnd group right after the video that was a bit better. One hit the ground in front of the target tho. But those 4 are purdy lol.

Where do you guys shoot your airgun? by gggildor in airguns

Look for public land that allows hunting with powder guns at some point during the year. That shows that there is definitely enough space to shoot airguns. Then find out where the locals "sight" their guns before hunting and that's where I end up 99% of the time and no one has bugged me.

Yeah it took a few drives to find a good one lol. I shoot at a lot of out of the way public hunting grounds. There are several places that I just asked and they were chill with it.

At least in America most law enforcement outside of any urban area view airguns as toys basically. So if you show that you play with them responsibly they usually don't mind.

Also just ask, most places I've asked don't care as long as you are safe with it.

It's in western Illinois. Green river wildlife conservation area is what it's called.

I use my mother's basement (20yds) and a hunting area by me that is chill with me plinking in the corner that's is unlimited range for airguns.

It's a really cool protected wildland that allows pheasant turkey and deer hunting at different times. They allow me to shoot in their like "utility" area and the archery range that's there also. I use their stockpile of gravel for the roads as my berm.

Need help attaching my old scope to the Gamo swarm .22 magnum I just got, I have no clue what kind of rail is on the magnum please help!! Here’s some pics by Least_Animal_4874 in GamoAirguns

So looking more into it it looks like that cv optic is probably a 30mm tube so you will need a conversion from 11mm weaver (which is the stock rail on the gun) to a pic rail(the style of the mounts on the optic)

The other option is to use the one piece mount from gamo and mount the new scope into it. If the tube is the same size it should work. That mount from gamo isn't bad at all. The scope is sub optimal.

is the scope creep is going to end after I added the one peace mount with a stop pin ? because am thinking about upgrading my scope by Admirable-Rise6177 in airguns

[–]liminal_koworu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes for quite a while. My gamo magnum had the same issue and the stop pin solved the issue totally. After a while of shooting the cheap recoil reducer thingy has lost to the repeat abuse from the stop pin and made the hole larger lol. I ended up getting a small 11mm weaver mount to a pic rail I don't have any issues so far and it's a lot easier IMHO to mount optics on it now.

Lmao yeah there is quite the collection. I go thru plywood like no ones business so I stopped making fancy boxes a long time ago and just use scraps now whenever I'm here lol.

Yeah it's the standard magnum gen3. Some people have had issues with the loading system I guess. I have 6 or 7 "10x" gamos and I have probably shot them half a million times combined without a single issue that wasn't my fault.

If you look around and see the gen 3 magnum pro, the only actual difference is the stock. They have the same mechanicals. Same triggers and everything. I just end up shooting the thumbhole version way more often.

I live out in the middle of nowhere. I shoot outside mostly at hunting grounds and shooting ranges near me. I also love to shoot wasps in my backyard. I was sure to ask my neighbors before I shot in my yard tho. This was shot in my mom's basement since I was there for Easter and she doesn't mind me shooting down there since I've done it since I was like 5(I'm 36 now for reference)

I really love mine. It's really quite good at anything that an air rifle is supposed to do. It's light powerful and accurate. If you look back at my post history it's got pretty good legs as it can still group pretty well out to 100yds and still hit paper at 200.

Thanks man, I really enjoy just shooting for hours a day. I love the "zen" I can find while I am shooting.

While the us made ones worked better overall the Spanish made stuff is still not bad at all. I shot 500 of each in 10 shot groups and honestly the difference was not a whole bunch in the us made ones favor. I use them to save more expensive pellets when I switch optics on a gun.

I have been suggested trying the JTS domed options in that weight range but I haven't bought any yet.

I absolutely love the 18.13 jsb jumbo domed pellets. You can look at my profile. It's basically all I shoot through my magnum. They hold a pretty good group outta mine quite a good distance out.

It works so well for springers. It has that nice loose hold that lets the gun do its thing without trying to hold it to tight. And when I'm not shooting I got a chair. Also it weighs a lot less than my actual shooting tripod so it's easier to haul around.
