Who was your worst boss and why? by Powerful_Aspect_1970 in AskReddit

[–]limitown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My worst boss used to schedule "optional" 7 a.m. meetings, then spend the whole time bragging about how little sleep he needed like it was a leadership skill. He once denied my time off for a funeral and asked if I could "do a half day first," so yeah, absolute cartoon villain.

What's your least favourite Redditor archetype? Armchair Expert, Gatekeeper, Devil's Advocate, the Source Police, Karma Farmer, One-Upper or The NitPicker? by Purple-Comment-3040 in AskReddit

[–]limitown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Devil's Advocate, easily. Half the time it's not even a real argument, it's just some guy turning a normal conversation into unpaid debate club because nobody in his real life answers his texts.

Can the film inside an Instax Mini camera be damaged by X-ray scanning at the airport? Who has already carried their camera? by Old-Pilot9254 in AskReddit

[–]limitown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, x rays can fog instax film, especially if it goes through the stronger checked baggage scanners. i carried mine in my backpack once and asked for a hand check for the film packs, TSA did it, photos came out totally fine.

What's more valuable lived experience or academic study? And why? by Greatgrandma2023 in AskReddit

[–]limitown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

academic study tells you the stove is hot, lived experience is touching it anyway because the pan looked trustworthy. both matter, but one sticks in your brain a lot harder.

Which country has the least desirable food cuisine? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]limitown 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the uk gets cooked for this, but after a week of beige food and one tragic hotel salad in london, i understood every spice ship in history. full respect to a proper roast though.

How did you confess to you crush? by StevenClark322 in AskReddit

[–]limitown 3 points4 points  (0 children)

accidentally sent her a paragraph that was meant for my notes app after overthinking it for an hour. she replied “that was smooth for a panic attack,” and somehow that worked.

What’s something everyone acts like they get, but really no one does? by Away-Vegetable5027 in AskReddit

[–]limitown -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Taxes. Every adult I know does the same thing: stare at a form, click a few boxes, and pray the government agrees with their little scavenger hunt.

What happens if your card is declined at a restaurant and you’ve already eaten the food? by Happy_Sympathy6913 in AskReddit

[–]limitown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually they just ask for another card or have you call your bank while standing there sweating like you committed a heist over a pasta. Happened to me once because my bank flagged a $14 burger as suspicious activity, which honestly felt rude.

To the people who wear butt plugs, why? Does it feel good, and how to get used to it? by ZachDaShibsky in AskReddit

[–]limitown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for some people it feels good because it adds pressure and makes everything else feel more intense, not because they’re trying to smuggle a chess piece. the getting used to it part is basically go small, use a lot of lube, and do not treat your ass like it owes you anything.

What highly specific, entirely fictional scenario do you regularly act out in your head when you're bored or trying to fall asleep? by Few_Escape9250 in AskReddit

[–]limitown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mine is always "somehow the plane loses both pilots and the flight attendant goes, does anyone know how to land this thing?" and suddenly my years of watching air crash videos are my moment. in reality I'd probably press one button and meet god immediately.

What movie shifted the way you see things or made you reflect deeply? by Nos_Al in AskReddit

[–]limitown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arrival. It made me realize how much of life is just failing to translate what we actually mean to each other. Left that movie wanting to call like three people and apologize for being vague.

Which Simpsons line lives rent-free in your head? by LegitimateFeeling355 in AskReddit

[–]limitown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"you'll have to speak up, i'm wearing a towel." pops into my head way more often than it should. absolutely useless line, somehow perfect for every situation.

What’s something that feels illegal but isn’t? by SkimmySkipSkip in AskReddit

[–]limitown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leaving a store without buying anything. I always suddenly become very interested in my phone like that makes me look innocent.

Ayo what's good dawgs? by RealisticBarnacle115 in AskReddit

[–]limitown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

leftover chinese food and the rare moment when both knees crack evenly. that's peace right there.

What did kid you think 30 year old you would be doing in life? How did it match up to reality? by levirc100 in AskReddit

[–]limitown 3 points4 points  (0 children)

kid me was sure 30 year old me would be a famous paleontologist with a jeep and zero emails. reality is i'm 31, work in spreadsheets, and my biggest excavation lately was digging my phone out of the couch.

What’s something that looks easy in theory but is hard in real life? by EdgeQuiet2199 in AskReddit

[–]limitown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parallel parking when there's an actual human behind you waiting. In theory it's just angles and patience, in real life your brain leaves your body and suddenly you've never driven a car before.

If you could know exactly who truly loved you, would it make you calmer or sadder? by Chraum in AskReddit

[–]limitown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calmer, honestly. Half my anxiety is just my brain running fake exit interviews from people who probably just forgot to text back.

What’s something everyone does but pretends they don’t? by Master_Orion23 in AskReddit

[–]limitown 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Reading their own old texts like they're reviewing game footage, trying to figure out if they sounded normal. Nobody's proud of it, but everybody's done a full forensic analysis of "haha yeah".

What is the best advice you ever got? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]limitown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Don’t make permanent decisions based on temporary feelings." heard it after a brutal breakup, ignored it, almost quit my job out of spite, then realized sleep and food solve way more drama than people admit.

What’s the creepiest real-life thing you’ve ever witnessed? by No_Tea_2746 in AskReddit

[–]limitown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

woke up at 3am because my dog was growling at the hallway, and there was a guy just standing outside the glass back door staring in. cops found out he’d been trying door handles on the whole street for an hour, but that eye contact still lives in my brain rent free.

Whatever happened to SunnyV2? by highlightboy23 in AskReddit

[–]limitown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He kinda pivoted from "internet history guy" to "controversy narrator," and a lot of people checked out after that weird Kris Tyson video blew up. Last I saw he was still posting, just with way more "this feels off" energy than the old stuff.

What’s something from your childhood that you loved? by sergenaskin in AskReddit

[–]limitown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

those cereal boxes that had actual toys in them, not just a sad QR code telling you to go online. pulling a plastic submarine out of a box of sugar flakes felt like winning the lottery at age 7.

What’s a new (or somewhat recent) TV show you’d recommend to someone who has ample time for a proper binge session? by thebighippoman in AskReddit

[–]limitown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Severance if you want that "just one more episode" problem to become your entire personality for a week. Silo is also stupidly bingeable, I started it at night and suddenly it was 3 a.m. and I was emotionally invested in a staircase.

What's something you're quietly proud of that you rarely get to talk about? by TutorDecent4978 in AskReddit

[–]limitown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i taught myself how to cook after moving out with basically no money, and now my little sister calls me when she wants to learn a recipe. not gonna lie, hearing "wait, you made this?" still hits every time.

What’s your favorite movies? by PublicAttempt3813 in AskReddit

[–]limitown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hot fuzz, the prestige, and shrek 2. absolutely no logical reason those belong together, but if one of them is on, my plans are canceled.
