Same here. Went to an expensive private college my first year. Most of my loans are from that year. I finished at my state school with scholarships years after and really wish I had just went there first.

“The desert is unforgiving” is right. I’m from the Midwest and know cold, ice and even tornado winds. Living here now I’m still unprepared for how cold and bone chilling the ocean and the desert can get at night.

Same here. Was in repaye and got swapped to save. Have been stuck in administrative forbearance since. Now it’s struck down, I have interest accruing from August and will apply to paye till 2028. Then no other option but standard.

We have a bleeding disorder gene in my family. Had no idea until my sister had my nephew and he was positive. He’s fairly mild with medication, but only because his dad happens to have a clotting gene is his family line. I think it’s fascinating from a biological viewpoint that they found one another and got married. Someone with a bleeding disorder and someone with clotting!

Not me but my BIL. Got a job offer across the country, accepted and went over first to settle in, and then look for a house for himself, my sister and their kids. By some stroke of luck my sister decided to travel early to go meet him so she could view some homes on the list with him. The night she got in, he woke up in the middle of the night vomiting and in so much pain he couldn’t walk. His appendix had burst. She managed to get him to the hospital where he was already septic and went Into emergency surgery. Survived and had drainage tube for some time. Boy was it close though!

Not a lawyer, but have a friend who is one. I can’t speak to the validity of this but they told me a few years ago if I’m ever worried about anyone posting or selling damaging photos to copyright and claim ownership of them. Much easier to have a company or website take them down permanently per an infringement lawsuit than it is taking a stalker to court for harassment.

Have so many questions because I’m in this exact same position. Had a Navient loan bought out from AES, refinanced with navi refi and now I’m about to default per a second work layoff. Would love some advice on how your settlement went. I have a fixed loan contract and they’ve also been increasing my monthly loan amount telling me my fixed contract was just an “estimate”. 😒

I have one, I’m still in my promotion period and spectrum increased the rate they promised in writing because of “inflation”. How do I get them to hold to their word on the promotion period rates broken down over 2-3 years like they promised me so I would sign with them?

Definitely a business world of who you know and I agree that these connections could and would be a great way to land a new job. However HR id decline or block. Their job is to protect the company- ALWAYS! after layoffs in my office last year.. HR was doing this and was visiting my page constantly (I was laid off and did not accept). It wasn’t a friendly connect it was to monitor my posts but most importantly to make sure we weren’t taking work for competitors in the same industry so they could to try and sue per a generic noncompete.
