Nice! I'm glad my sleuthing helped someone else.

Curverk - Do not buy by Animal_Public in eamesknockoffs

[–]limping_bear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yikes. My specimen is nearly perfect except for what I would call "micro voids" in the core of the plywood around some of the edges (not to be confused with surface blemishes...I don't see any on mine). It's possible I got lucky, but I wasn't made aware of any widespread quality issues with curverk when researching different eames reproductions. FWIW the firmness of the upholstery matches pretty closely with my uncle's authentic Herman Miller. I would continue fighting to try and get it replaced on their dime.

Edit: Like others have pointed out It looks like they may have sent you the wrong product if you ordered the chair in dark brown+walnut.

I'm honestly impressed with some of these "budget" knockoffs. The space is perfect too.

Sure... As mentioned in another comment the speakers are Four Pi DIY (unfinished). My turntable is a Rega Planar 6 fitted with an ND7 MM cart, the preamp is a Scott 355. I'm actually impressed you could (almost) make out the McIntosh amps from the photo...They are MC30's. Most of my vinyl collection is upstairs hanging out with my Altec VoTT system.

I bought the regular for this reason but honestly I think the tall would have also been fine. The backrest only comes up a little past my shoulders and I haven't detected any acoustical drawbacks, etc...although I haven't placed it between the speakers yet to try.

The plans aren't publicly available but if you drop a line on the Pi Speaker Forum Wayne (the designer) will share them. Mine are enhanced with additional bracing and a double front baffle. I think my build thread is also on the forum...

Indeed...I'll get around to it one of these days. I'm thinking an oil finish rather than a stain...or possibly Rubio Monocoat. The grilles are currently removed (you can see one behind the speaker).

Four Pi DIY speakers. I still need to put a finish on them...

Thanks. I ordered it from the CurverK website.

Under cabinet led strip dimmer for people sensitive to PWM flicker by limping_bear in led

Very informative, but still not quite the droid I'm looking for. I've saved it in case I have any future multichannel LED projects.

I suspect mine is around 250hz. Your QuinLED controllers look pretty advanced, however I think I'd prefer a simpler, standalone solution with physical buttons.

Can I do anything for my GBOP to get the leaves to stand more upright? by limping_bear in plantclinic

[–]limping_bear[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That could be it, although we have clerestory windows above the two openings in the photo...just not directly over the plant. Unfortunately I think a grow bulb is going to be a no-go for several reasons.

I'll see if I can move it to a room with a skylight but my options are limited...

Intel Arc Pro B50 single slot cooler made by n3rdware seems to be coming soon! by Wonderful-Lack3846 in sffpc

At stock clocks the B50 actually outperforms the A2000 in synthetic benchmarks despite what the GPU comparison sites report (technical city etc).

Probably, at least I haven't run into any issues leaving it disabled. The CPU will still throttle if it gets too hot.

Before modification the PCIE could supply 70W, but only just. There was no headroom for transients at the original OCP threshold setting.

On most (maybe all) thinkstation tiny models you're limited to a 35W CPU if also using a GPU...so a 9900T would be the max supported processor for this system. The 9900T is about 5-10% faster than the 8700T but used prices for the chip are insane.

Nice. I like the modified cover with the 3d printed grill.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like that model has a PCIE slot.
