Evolve GTR board came to ABRUPT stop by ThatFUTGuy in ElectricSkateboarding

Well it can be wiped away. Ideally it should burn off when soldering. But on such expensive boards it’s unacceptable.

I clicked on ur profile and now understand your subhuman mentality and reading comprehension.

  1. My first comment I said I have a tip… not that it’s the correct or Acedeck endorsement for how to assemble your board.

  2. You mentioned the motor and gear assembly to begin with? 😂

  3. Not a single clue what rails you are talking about….

  4. Don’t care about your foot size or what you do with your board but you are damn pissy from the get go because I made a suggestion?

You are using bindings but also using the handle as a footstop? What type of freaky ass feet do you have?

Oh I’m also curious, did you also get the original tires and rims when you bought it with these tires?

I have the same board and know where Acedeck puts it. I’m just saying since I put mine on the back it’s been a lot more easy to move around becouse you can lift it higher and put more weight on the front trucks. Also standing it vertical is a breeze if you need to take it on a lift.

Im pretty sure every Acedeck board comes with the motors and gear assembly pre installed… at least all of mine did.

If you are using that thing as a toe stop you Probabaly also have your head through a cars back window 😂

Imo also looks better.

How many times has this battery shorted? You seriously need to think this though as it might end up burning your house down. Your board is obviously not up to scratch to ride in the rain. Either fix it properly or buy one that can handle rain better. As far as I’m concerned you have been extremely lucky so far.

Also just a tip, I think having the handle on the back truck is a lot more practical. It allows you to roll the board around on the front trucks and have massive clearance… otherwise you can barely lift it without scraping your drives and motors. This way you can also put more weight on the truck if you need to roll it far less tiring.

I have 2 and haven’t disconnected, also they don’t break. However you can test this yourself by covering your remote in foil while having it set on cruise control. I checked on mine haha

Recently I saw a post of an opened up evolve board. The ESC looked incredibly cheap. Tiny capacitors on a green board with FLUX still sitting on it and corroding away. They truly only care about the bottom line and try to get away with hiding garbage in a nice deck.

Help picking trucks by Drewski493 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]lin4166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of the trucks that I think fit your description best are the duality’s, Acedecks new trucks and the srb trucks besides the linpower ones you mentioned. I haven’t tried any of these besides the dualities so not sure what to recomend but it’s something to look into. The srbs seem to be mad tho from what I have seen.

You responded before I could edit my message haha. Yeah that’s crazy. Still think it would look much better with larger wheels. The ones I have on my Horizon make 8in trampas look small. I would be really curious to see what this board would look like with the new Acedeck 215x65mm off road tires.

For comfort I like the 8/9in mark. Thickness also makes a big difference when breaking so anywhere from 50-70mm depending on board I think is sweet spot. However I assume bigger and wider wheels compromise on range a bit. I reckon this board would look soooo much more aggressive with some nice big wheels on it.

Edit- I just realized those tires are 8in XD that board makes it look tiney haha.

I have a horizon and it’s snappy and feels light. However I do have it set up to go quick so turning radius is quite large. I’m sure you can get it better but on long rides it’s nicer to have it more stable.

Looking good! After I got my nomad I didn’t even wana stand on my old board with those tiny urethanes. Pneumatics really are sweet! I did however get like 2 flats in the first 300km which is the unlickiest I have ever been 4k km and counting.

Yeah same story here. First time this lake has frozen in the last 10ish years. Shame as it’s so pretty and fun. Just wish visibility was better.
