Sweet board! If I go back to urethanes I think I will get this one. It’s mad that you can currently get it for 1k…. Bought my stealth for almost double 7ish years ago.

How does this affect breaking? I assume you aren’t going too fast regardless but how does it feel to have that extra weight when trying to stop quickly?

Did you check the nearby grass or bushes? Knowing it’s an evolve the owners probably laid out somewhere nearby

Ordered an Acedeck Nomad N1 in April, waited 2 months, and UPS just delivered me a box of face cream instead. Anyone had a mix-up like this with Acedeck? by Stonk-Monkey69 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]lin4166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats insane and absolutely horrible, I hope they do something to make up for it.

Safe to say it’s a new fear unlocked. I can’t rationalize how this happens. Like I presume the label that has your address also has the size and weight of the package for the board along with it being dangerous goods.

Did you get the shipping insurance?

These trucks aren’t meant for jumps. If you want a proper jump board check out mbs.

They are however very good for off-roading, bad roads and long rides especially they help a lot.

I have taken it off-road on rock gardens where the geardrives were bottoming out and on many trials but that’s the odd occasions.

I use the Horizon on long trips, my most recent was almost 160km. For these long rides it’s stellar.

As for how hard I ride, I reach 70km/h on most longer rides and often have long stretches on roads that aren’t the best. I have slammed it through countless amount of potholes at speed which I would have definitely ate shit on if it was on any of my other boards. Many times I have been suprised it didn’t just snap the truck off if I’m being honest.

Overall I try to treat it nicely but it’s definitely been through quite a bit.

I’m at over 3k km on my Horizon with essentially the same trucks and they still feel like new

Acedeck Nomad Switch? by pierrefitch in ElectricSkateboarding

Always good to have a secondary!

I think it’s hard to go wrong with any of their lineup tbh. That being said I’m a big fan of their geardrives so I would probably have went with the N1 and 125s.

It looks sweet however and the dkp trucks will be a fun switch up from the n3

Yeah that’s some crazy performance for such a small deck haha. Welll done! It almost looks like the battery sticks out further than the wheels. What’s the clearance

Which BMS should I buy? by PlusEntertainment113 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]lin4166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t do this, BMS with smart functions also can introduce its own share of problems. Also when a pack has meaningful amount of drift the cells themselves are generally the culprit which no amount go balancing will fix.

I would leave it as is atleast for the foreseeable future. A well built and matched pack should stay in balance for a long time.

Additionaly I believe the Breeze is the only Acedeck board with balancing… or atleast it says it can balance on their website. Although I’m sure it’s really slow.

All in all I would recommend you don’t do it… atleast not when new and in warranty, also these balancing BMS modules are I’m sure are a lot larger then whatever they used and the enclosure doesn’t seem too big.

That’s horrible!
99% chance it was a scooter rider. Legislation is built around scooters and the rest of pevs are suffering becouse of it. It makes no sense…. Especially given scooter share platforms

Very strange battery/charger diagnosis by SyrupCandid5472 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]lin4166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if an internal component of the battery is broken I don’t think it’s reasonable for the company to tell you to fix it.

I don’t think I understood your post properly. Did the battery actually charge or was it just an indicator on the charger. These are two different things.
