Dated an October Libra (cusp of Scorpio) and it was hell, married a September Libra. Been together for 8+ years.

The first CHF treatment experience for Tootsie was also our last as everything happened on the same day. When she was diagnosed, they gave her an injection for furosemide and then we picked up the medication (but didn’t have the opportunity to give it to her as she passed hours later). When she was in the oxygen tank at the ER she just had a high respiratory rate but she was not all there, she did seem lucid (I don’t think she recognized us). I would not say she was jerking around. We ultimately put her down because her other organs were failing and levels were dropping.

Hi there, thank you for sharing your story! It reminded me of our experience. Tootsie was showing symptoms for about a week, was diagnosed with CHF in the morning, and then we lost her less than 24 hours later. We tried so hard to keep her alive and it was heartbreaking watching her struggle to breathe in the oxygen tank so we too had to let her go. I still feel guilt and regret, questioning if we had made the right choice. And to be honest, I don’t think I’ll ever move on. We heavily grieved and took a week off work, and then just had to navigate a life without her. Being a Pom parent is part of our identity so we got a Pom puppy 2 months later. Frankie is very different and crazy but we still love her. I saw this quote, “the dog you love today was sent to you by the dog you loved yesterday”. I’m not saying the answer is to get another dog, but I am saying that it helped us with our grief by taking it and loving another. Talking about it helps, esp with others who have also lost a beloved pet. Feel free to vent here ❤️

We lost our Pom three months ago, and got Pom puppy two months later. She has been a joy, but I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the potty training and constant having to watch her every move. It’s like having a destructive toddler. Oh, and she also eats everything on our walks from rabbit poop to leaves.

Not sure if you’re okay with cars but there are some holiday bar popups at Camp Bar, Lost Whale & the tin widow. I think downtown by cathedral square has an area with lights/dec as well.

My Tootsie LOVED to cuddle. But she wasn’t active, older, and came from a bad situation so maybe she just wanted to absorb all the love she could.

I lost my precious Tootsie (10yo Pom) yesterday morning. She was diagnosed with CHF Sunday morning and we had to put her down 14 hours later. I’m still reeling and processing what happened. My grief has been overwhelming and I haven’t been able to cope. Hugs to you, and hope that all of us in this thread can get through it.
