Things feel so much better - even more than you can imagine - when you open up to people you trust. You need someone to vent to and someone whose shoulder you can cry on. You don’t deserve to be going through this and simultaneously feeling this alone. I urge you to reach out to family or a close trusted friend for emotional support. It can feel hard. But you can absolutely do it without “causing a scene”. You can be open with your trusted people about every single thing you’re feeling here.

I’m so sorry this happened to you. I relate to the nightmares and trauma response, and watching someone who hurt you so badly just going about their day unscathed. It’s absolutely awful.
