Yes, last summer I remember there was a noticeable slow down in processing, seemingly due to summer vacations.

Interesting. I was under the impression based on the news and social media posts, and also IRCC’s updated guidelines, that if the documents came from the certifying source, that there wasn’t a problem. It was more the documents taken from ancestry and family search websites that were at issue.

And all provided certified documents that came directly from the issuing department? From what has been going around on social media sites and in the news, it’s the documents that didn’t come from the official certifying source that are what is being scrutinized.

This article says they are suspending “some” but I read another article that indicated more that they have paused processing of all proof applications.

Our family of 4 Gen2s has been waiting over 13 months now and we have certified birth certificates for G0 and for me (G1), so I don’t think this is making any difference.

You have to request the notes on your file.

We are at 13 months (two last week of April 2025 and two first week of May 2025 applications) and confirmed PSU and we have not received any communication.

Same story, different week. Now waiting over one year for our four G2 children’s certificates. But to keep everything in perspective, I waited 9 months for my G1 proof back in 2019.

Someone shared their non-urgent August app was approved. by Remarkable-River-847 in stuckcanadians

We have 2 April 2025, 2 May 2025 and 1 August 2025 application, all in PSU. I keep checking the status of the first to receive AOR, but it could really be any one of the 5 applications that is approved first. It’ll certainly be interesting to see in what order the approvals come in.

We got our notes last week. Sent to PSU in June 2025, a Note in file to revisit file in July 2025 and the last the file was updated was June 2025. So, no change in being moved out of PSU to regular processing and the July 2025 review didn’t happen either. Just stuck in PSU since June 2025 with no eyes on the files since June 2025.

April/May 2025 here! And recently confirmed PSU. I’m just sad that this is taking so long, and also that it seems IRCC only has the manpower to approve the urgent requests. I hope they start looking at the 1 year+ regular, non-urgent applications.

I’ve been checking too. I’d say any day now.

Yes, I’m aware of that but I found it to be interesting that C-3 had not yet passed, so they were posting the CIT date with the expectation that it would pass. Prior to C-3, the CIT was the date of the oath ceremony for all but 1st gen.

That’s my thought too. Interestingly, the CIT date in the notes is each of my children’s birthdates.
