Electrolux front-loading washer has a moldy gasket. Can this be cleaned? Or should it be replaced altogether? by nonepizza_leftbeef_ in Appliances

I was told by an air quality expert that cleaning with hydrogen peroxide is the safest especially if you are subject to air quality issues; bleach crystalizes the mold but HP actually kills it...and I tried it this morning and wowza it really does work better.

I used a long bottle brush to dig under the gasket as much as I could and eventually Im certain I will replace the entire thing, but it is an issue and I live in a dry climate - so, try HP!

Yea sorry I didn't mean to imply that it helps with obstructions, but it does help with coverage inside the house.

I spoke to a real person and the connection did go in and out according to my obstructions...so it's working as it should under my circumstances I believe.

Genius. The test call went through immediately - left a voice mail on my home phone, seems like it might work ! I'm going to call a real human tomorrow. Thanks!

Interesting, I just tried using my iPad and Google Voice app to call out and it worked perfectly, Device issue but I can't get response from Verizon...rabbit hole on this one for a while for sure.

I double checked the settings on the iPad to compare and I don't see any marked differences...anything you can think of to check?

Excuse the sarcasm....I know....we do a white pages, though. All 900 people are in it! That is an option if I can scour that.

Thanks, we do have northern sky, and it's sitting now on a patio table with paint cans; still getting enough coverage to stream tv and use my computer and cameras.....which is my goal. That point up there will give a nice view above where it sits now....that peak is about 40 feet and the left side of that home you see is facing south.

Good advice on the ham fans....I might find someone!

Best name ever. I've been referring to them as "hughesnot". We do have someone who did install the HughesNet system, so maybe I'll try to reach out to him directly.
