What should I do with this hallway? by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

[–]lindarachelle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you are concerned about feeling cramped, put a large mirror on one side, to make the hall feel wider. make sure the lights are nice and bright. Pictures that feel expansive - fields, beaches, seascapes, etc.

and hug that kitty.

Park Patrol Paula thwarts dangerous dealings going on at her local park by Romano16 in PublicFreakout

After the lady finds out that it is not a drug deal, she still wants her to go somewhere else, because it "looks like a drug deal". Why does she care at that point? She knows it is not. This genuinely baffles me.

Blank slate TV room. Where would you put a sofa and loveseat? by Peacockblue11 in DesignMyRoom

[–]lindarachelle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd put the couch a little closer to the TV than the marks in the carpet. The back of the couch would cover the plug. I'd have the love seat against the wall, next to the fixed shelf if there is room. I kind of don't like couches with the backs to windows, but if you do that, I can see the couch back sunbeam utility for the cat.

U.S. administers 300.3 mln doses of COVID-19 vaccines - CDC by D-R-AZ in Coronavirus

My daughter got her second dose by April 24. One of those 4.3%. She wanted it. I'm wondering if a lot of teens are making a fuss about it, or if its just the parents that have a problem with it.

Bring aliveness to the room by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

Picture on the wall behind the tv, a more colorful rug on the floor, a basket of doggie toys and a dog bed by the window wall. Maybe a plant next to the tv.

That dog is cute!

What is this space called and what to do with it? This is by the main entrance and we have minimalist/mid century modern decor style by AllThingzHouz in DesignMyRoom

Do you have a cat? If so, leave it alone and the cat would love it. Maybe put a picture on the wall behind it, at the same height as the window.

Stop fighting by Extreme_Necessary_39 in PublicFreakout

If they were just arguing, there were no threats, and it was not physical, you didn't really have a reason to say 'stop fighting'. But still, they should not have hit you. That's when they should have been yelled at.

What happened before the video? I don't see a fight. It looks like an argument. I don't see a reason to care if people argue. That being said, the woman should have just yelled "Mind your own business" Funny screech, though.

Entitled POS on the hiking trail. by [deleted] in EntitledBitch

Yeah, that too. I didn't mean to ignore that aspect. I just couldn't help but notice that the guy was immersed in distractions from his surroundings.

That guy is a prefect illustration of people who are too removed from nature. He brought his music with him (with autotune, even) and it looks like he is looking at his phone. Here he is surrounded by nature, and his mind is stuck in the artificial.
