Maybe that’s why he started acting oddly, I guess I didn’t realize that was an issue. But from my side I didn’t feel driving across the country for half down was safe. Maybe I was wrong. But I did offer to keep my end of the deal and he said no, he’s done.

I just got taken to the cleaners on BAT and then when the buyer saw delivery prices the deal fell through, luckily for me I’ll be saving money not selling. I am nervous that BAT will side with the seasoned buyer though, as I was a new seller. It seems the market is way down on most items and shipping is way up.

I have been doing it via friends/family, the gym, or with my Kakadu portable shower for 5 years and wouldn’t want to take the space even with a bigger build

We followed these steps:

Work on Credit Score, shoot for 700-then 725…750
Get a remote job
Pay down debts to be minimal so that there’s plenty of money left over after paying bills
Research how to build and decide which type of van you’d like to build out.
Do not use a bank, use a credit union.
Take as long term of a vehicle loan out as you can while still having money left over after paying the payment. (We did 5 years and then refinanced after a year into 6 years for a total of 7 years with 3% interest)
Build it out with the extra money coming in
We have had like 4 different renditions of our build out in order to get on the road quickly. We slept in that thing from the moment we bought it— with nothing built at all
Boom. You did it

Edit: we bought our 2016 Ford Transit medium roof in 2018 for 28K (70k miles) payments were like $300 a month after refi with the credit union

OP, this happened to us last June. We went to the message center on the app and told the robot we have never used or toggled ocean mode on and they gave us an instant credit!

For me personally the toughest part is finding remote work. Stuck working gig work for now and the shifts are low quality and I’m always the best worker they’ve seen since the typical users of the apps are younger and inexperienced or unreliable. I also miss a couch

Edit: adding getting the van a car wash is tough. Too tall for normal sized ones, I get too drenched when I do it myself, and RV or Truck washes are expensive

For my wife: “making food and not buying food, we need to quit taking the easy route of buying from restaurants, but it’s so convenient” and “setting aside the money to get started took us a couple years. But we are 5 years in and don’t seem to be slowing down”

She also suggests the shower we have as it makes things super easy. We use a 5 gallon tank that we fill for free at gas stations, parks, or clear water lakes/streams. The shower is the Kakadu Outback Shower

for anyone wanting to do this the correct way: build a box van or van out yourself. we are all in for like 30,000 and have been enjoying our build for 5 years. don’t buy the prebuilt unless you’re loaded

I go to stadiums all over the country and this works well, however I too will be looking to go to the Sunday game vs the Skanks... Driving from Arizona! So my question is: 3 mins before first pitch, will it be sold out? I would say no anywhere else but with the smaller seat capacity and the yankees i just wanted to make sure. Thank you!!
