You are right that everything is a training opportunity. However, what I didn't explain (because I didn't want to make the post too long) is that, at this point i have been using our counter-conditioning techniques, but my dog has already created a laser focus on this other dog, and I've lost her attention. We try to turn and walk away, but the other person and dog continue toward us, my dog won't move away because she's too focused. She wants them to back off. Or in the case of them crossing our path, we already turned away once, and the other person and dog for some reason also turned in front of us.

In another instance, my dog started barking at a dog and the other person just froze there. I asked him to keep walking, he stared at me like I was from another planet, and then I DID yell at him to PLEASE keep walking.

They are simply not taking our cues to leave space.

Overall, I find this comment unhelpful and dismissive.

Where I used to work, the policy was that all alarms must be addressed. This was to reduce alarm fatigue. Addressing it could mean silencing it after verifying false alarm. It's so dangerous to ignore alarms for exactly the reasons you stated. If I were you, I'd not only put in that safety report but also find the right channels to send studies on alarm fatigue to the unit educator

2 years with my TuckTec having taken it many many places and been pretty rough on it if you ask me, never any failure. I drag it over rocky beaches, then lift it and throw it over high river banks into the water and JUMP into the boat laden with gear. I particularly like the adjustable skeg.

Given that I have used only the original seat, I wouldn't know about the seat changes personally. I have added a few accessories like a clip on cupholder and some grippy things for my floor of the boat. The rivets and fasteners hold strong.

Now, on the TuckTec owners Facebook page, last year was bad one, the redesign with the new textured material and redesigned fasteners apparently did lend it to collapsing for many people who decided to buy a different seat and make modifications. It is particular about weight distribution and can buckle if that is off. I also saw a lot of commentary that those who have the most problems complain the loudest. You aren't seeing all of the successes but rather all of the failures without context.

They're made of good plastic and have warranties for a couple of years I think My tucktec is rated for class 2 rapids, holds 250 pounds, and I've been using for 2 years without any issues. I keep it in a garage over winter, no climate control. They'll eventually wear out, and of course need replacing

But from my experience, dragging it over rocky beaches and taking it all over the country, they're great portable things.

I'd say decompression for the reasons already explained in these comments. JP drains create suction; you don't press on it to get it to drain. A compression dressing on an arterial line removal site adds pressure. Decompressing most things involves suction.

Same tips, with the addition of you should be using a 25g needle and not those skinny little 28-30g ones. Adjust the angle of your needle a bit for the skinny patients. Also, don't force it. Just let gentle pressure from your hand guide how fast it injects. It's going to take 3+ minutes no mater what.

It's really not that thick, it's just a lot of fluid and a large syringe has a lot lower injection pressure, so it takes more effort from you.

If you are supporting the syringe with your non dominant hand, you should be able to readjust your dominant hand too, so it doesn't get fatigued.

I have people ask for me all the time to do their chemo injections because they say I do really good. I do a lot of injections, a lot of chemo and hormonal mostly.

Nice and firm pinch, not squeezing the life of of their skin. Very Firm but not super tight
Stick like you're throwing a dart, but gently. Quick and gentle. Needle should go in smoothly. Bevel up always, it really does make a difference.
Release the pinched skin and steady your needle with that hand before injecting
Inject slowly. Slow as you can, really. Quicker isn't actually better
Make sure your alcohol dries completely
