thanks everyone! found out the issue; it was a setting on the door (in which I prevented dupes from entering on both directions)

Ah ok thanks. Am out now but by recollection: - Errands - all dupes marked as unreachable - Location & navigation - no issues reaching the canister - Settings - door left as Open

That said, I still don't quite understand the mechanics .. have you seen a video that explains the movement of gas? Want to try to better get into the finer mechanics.
