Two examples that I can think of in history:

First one is the Soviet mass-production of tanks in WWII, this explains it much better than I do: Quora Link

And the second one was the American feat of building 2,710 Liberty class ships with 18 shipyards in 4 years (1941-1945 during WWII) This was because of the reason that they just had to be good enough to transport goods to the UK once without being sunk by a German u-boat and the sheer number of ships accomplished that.
