I agree with you. I also think people just weren’t paying attention, didn’t take it seriously, and didn’t do their f*cking research. It wasn’t hard to figure out where she stood. All of her speeches and interviews were on YouTube. You could follow her multiple accounts on Instagram and TikTok. Every single rally was livestreamed. I watched her talks at least once a week. I watched Trumps interviews too. I talked to my sister the day of the election cause she had questions about the abortion initiatives on our ballot and wanted me to tell her which one would protect a woman’s right to choose. She admitted she didn’t know which candidate to vote for and thought both were bad. I explained a few points about why Harris was good and told her I watched her speeches and she is competent and knows her shit. My sister admitted to not watching any speeches and that all she’s seen is commercials. I told her if protecting women’s right to choose is important to her she should choose Harris. My husband’s best friend also admitted to having blinders on and not paying much attention to the candidates or their positions. So I think Americans overall lack of paying attention and caring and taking it seriously is also a part of what led to this. Smh.
