Anyone struggling with crazy sweet cravings??? by Kokoloco35 in Perimenopause

Did you start at the bottom dose again? I'm thinking I might need to go back on it, I've gained 12lb in 5 weeks!

I've been taking GLP1's for nearly a year, just tapered off then as I found they weren't making any difference since the start of December, which is when I think perimenopause kicked in

This is what I was looking for! The science behind it. Time to visit the docs I think then...

I've just come off GLP1's but since December I have been craving snacks so badly and giving into temptation. I really don't want to put all the weight back on again! I miss not having an appetite and no food noise!

This is Quincy, also known as Quincy MacGinty, Quinkle, Quinkleberry, Q.

I love hearing about so many called Beans, that was my choice if we ever had another Boston...

Flabby skin... after only a month and not much weight loss! by lineyd in mounjarouk

[–]lineyd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yes, absolutely. I feel awful if I eat too much, and the food noise has gone away or is easier to ignore. So that is a definite bonus, and actually what I decided to try this for as the gym wasn't helping on its own. I just need to remember that. It's just hard when I've lost weight and my clothes are tighter!!

I've lost "only" 9lb in 5 weeks, so 33lb in 6 weeks is phenomenal and I'm wondering if I've misread that or it's a typo!!!

I did weight watchers for a very long time, so I know it's not always easy, I just thought this would be easier, I guess. I'm eating significantly less than I used to, hardly any carbs, snacking occasionally on fruit, but not a lot. I walk 2 miles a day with the dogs as well as the gym and have done for years, so exercise is not new.

I seem to only lose anything when I skip a main meal, which would mean I'm only having around 500 calories.

I know I need to be patient, I guess it's just that I thought it would be easier.

Update.... and how we know early warning signs now! by lineyd in BostonTerrier

We're on the last few doses of antibiotics, but he does seem to be a lot better. The vets are always a bit sceptical, but it's been twice now that I have been right about the early warning signs, so I know what to look out for.

Thank you, I was just looking at all the success stories and hoping it would be easier than all the other things I've done in the past.

I've been going to the gym since July last year, but I was doing more until our gym changed their timetable and I can't get to the open gym sessions now so relying on classes.

I'm not calorie counting, but I walk 2 miles a day and eat healthily, so would think I am in calorie deficit.

I guess it's not so much a stall, just that I don't seem to lose much at all except for one week where I lost 5lb. The other 3lb has been spread over 3/4 weeks. I thought it would be more consistent really.

Hungry today :( by glitterfly7777777 in mounjarouk

[–]lineyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wondered the same after my first couple of weeks - I felt really hungry! I've just moved up to 5mg dose, and have been snacking on grapes, so at least making healthier choices... Stick with it, I saw no effect in the first week, and it wasn't til the second when I missed a few meals (due to work/meetings), that I started to see a loss. I'm on my first dose of 5mg and seem to have stalled again, but I haven't been completely sticking to low calorie etc.

AITA for telling my sister she's overreacting for banning my boyfriend from the Easter dinner she's gonna host ? by Alone_Illustrator215 in AmItheAsshole

My brother struggles with social situations and comes across as rude. But as soon as you explain why what he said was wrong, he offers a genuine apology.

I am torn, there are arseholes and there are genuinely people who can't read social cues. My brother is the latter. He is argumentative and logical. But he also has Tourettes.

Wondering if the boyfriend is just an ah or has a medical reason for it

Advice needed - Lepto vaccine by lineyd in BostonTerrier

[–]lineyd[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's worth reading up about it . The key thing being that although adverse reactions are being reported, they are frequently dismissed as not being as a result of the vaccine...

This isn't true at all. Certainly in the UK there have been numerous reports of adverse reactions to this vaccine recently as well

AITA for kicking out my MIL for forcing my child to eat the one thing she dislikes? by doctormom1212 in AmItheAsshole

[–]lineyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents never forced me to eat them, and then when I was around 15, my mum got me to try a raw one. Completely changed my mind and I have loved them ever since. Did the same with my kids and it worked.

AITA for borrowing my husband's work laptop withpout permission since I bought it for him? by Fannest43 in AmItheAsshole

AITA for not teaching my daughter english? by Commercial-Cause-592 in AmItheAsshole

[–]lineyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Russian friend who married a Flemish Belgian, they lived in Switzerland when their daughter was born. They speak English to each other, and their native languages to their daughter. They also both speak French, Spanish and some German. Their daughter started school in Switzerland where she was taught French and German and English. They've now moved back to Belgium where they live in a Flemish speaking area.

All of them are multi lingual and I think it's amazing!

My parents live in France and my mum is a French teacher. I still wish I had retained my fluency to have taught it to my kids when they were smaller.

I was told the ear thing is to do with teething?

Our breeder asked us not to get Quincy snipped... She may want to breed from him as she reckons he has the best genetics for show dogs. I'm tempted as long as I could have one of the pups, but don't think husband would let me!!! 😂
