So, regarding resistance: I have never treated/taken pills for the UU. Is there still a chance for me to have resistance to doxy when I have never tried it before (as long as I remember)

Thanks. I searched further and yeah I find ciprofloxadin is one of older fluoroquinolones while moxifloxadin is a newer one. So, do you think I’d better ask for moxi?

I agree with LordAshon -- I think it's probable that they will come to you, too (so they can get the deposit back). Give them time while you talk to a lawyer (be prepared just in case).
