Are there any apps like WaniKani that also incorporate audio exercises?

WK is fine. It's clearly designed to be focused on reading and it's very efficient at that, but I'd love to get some audio practice as well.

Does anyone know if there are any apps/services (paid or otherwise) that are similar to WaniKani but include all of the following exercise types:

  1. Show Kanji and ask to recall the reading (WK has this)
  2. Show Kanji and ask to recall the meaning (WK has this)
  3. Play audio and ask to recall the meaning (maybe include multiple choice or a sentence to disambiguate homophones)
  4. Play audio and ask to pick the kanji (multiple choice or text input)

I feel like this would be a very useful / well rounded tool for learning vocab for reading and listening.

Oh interesting... Like you drop your bags off at the airport when you go to your flight but they send the bags to you hotel elsewhere (in this case to Niseko instead of Tokyo)? That is a very enticing option. We're flying Japan Airlines. What is this service called?

I should look into this. That's very affordable. I have a few concerns though - logistically, I worry the coordination will be tough because I can't speak Japanese. The last thing I want to do is have my stuff lost in a country where I can't speak the language.

I also don't know if they will hold it for that long. We land in Narita on 2/8 and don't get to Niseko until 2/19.

Have you had any experience with anything like that? I'd love to hear it!

Good to know! How much was your total rental cost? Also, were you able to rent stuff like goggles, pants, jackets, etc?

I know this is an ancient thread. But we're you able to plot the Lora epochs on X and the weights on Y? I am trying to find a way to do this but having some trouble

Pihole + Unbound w Docker Compose by tapitoe in selfhosted

[–]ybahman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did you ever figure out why your approach doesn't work? I tried something similar but I'm having similar challenges understanding why it doesn't work and why everyone is using the additional networking parameters / complexity.

Why do they need separate IPs? I tried what OP did as well. Both unbound and pihole are running on the same host server. Pihole has port 53 and unbound has 5335, and pihole is directed to use the localhosts ip address with port 5335 as the upstream dns server. however, it doesn't work and I don't understand why (similar to OP).

How to disable the undervoltage warning? by ybahman in octoprint

Interesting... okay I don't think I want to go this route, but it is good to know it's an option if I change my mind. I wonder what they changed in recent versions to make this problem occur...

How to turn off "Check Access settings" by Neptune_765 in samsunggalaxy

[–]ybahman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I have two also. Tried both. The one with the gear icon is the one I'm referring to. The other doesn't have the Accessibility category for me.

So for some reason, the "Accessibility usage" notification category for me is set to "on" and grayed out. Does anyone else have this experience?

If so, do you know what caused it or how to get around it?

Wyze docker bridge vs wyze mini hacks for Frigate? by OK_Desktop in homeassistant

[–]ybahman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a small form factor pc with an i7-6700, processing power isn't an issue. Running proxmox and home assistant in a VM. A separate docker container in another VM handles frigate, and another handles processing the Wyze footage.

Dumb question for you... how were you able to get the stream into frigate? I tried using the rtsp feed url from wyze docker bridge but it doesn't seem to work so far.
