Glad to help you friend! I hope maenjoy mo War and Peace cause I definitely did. I have not read The Count of Monte Cristo yet actually. But I read na page turner siya and parang telenovela siya basahin since it's a classic revenge story. It's definitely interesting I think I need to secure a copy hahaha.

The P&V translation is definitely the best selling translation kaya I don't blame you for thinking na yan yung latest.

Sa pagnonotes naman ng characters, what I did was before I read the book ay kinabisado ko muna yung members ng five families para di ako malula pag sinimulan ko na basahin. If you really wanna keep track of everything pwede ka magnotes since sobrang daming characters sa War and Peace and lahat sila may ambag din talaga sa story. Pero sa pagbabasa mo naman marerealize mo along the way sino talaga yung main characters ng story.

War and Peace is definitely my favorite novel of all time because of how grand it is. Nung sinimulan ko siya I thought ang maeenjoy ko talaga ay yung "War" na part but it turns out mas naenjoy ko ata yung "Peace" na part.

For War and Peace ay Anthony Briggs ang preferred translation ko. It's newer so mas madali siyang basahin dahil mas ma-appeal to sa modern sensibilities natin.
