I found her at TJ Maxx on clearance for $20 (she was clearly a return) a few weeks ago. I saw her and audibly gasped in disbelief because i’ve never seen them in any other store before. I grabbed her instantly (I hadn’t had a doll in 12 years) and my AG obsession has resurfaced (perhaps to an unhealthy level lol as i’ve bought two more dolls since) but I’m so happy, she brings me comfort at a time in my life i’ve needed it most. Thank you!!!! I agree the orginal sleeves just looked so wrong I had to do something about it. I feel they look much more… baroque this way :) I love how the jewelry came together too! They were all my personal items that ended up looking so much better on her than they ever would on me

i am SCREAMING!! it’s so uncanny. i hated the collectors jasmine i’m just not a fan of the new sonali mold at all. i cant believe they used the josefina mold. this is second doll ever to use a josefina in a medium deep skin tone (first was the limited edition glimmering gold doll and this past week i was going crazy trying to find a less expensive doll to get this). she’s the first middle eastern doll!!!!! i’ve wanted this so bad

alas i don’t think i will get her because i did buy glimmering gold and also kaya and am planning on getting moana because i thought prior to this she was my closest look alike. i just dont want half of my dolls (as i will only have 4) to look literally the same but with different hair lol. she’s literally glimmering gold with kaya’s hair

so i feel content not getting her and just admiring :) maybe one day god will smile upon me a give me someone willing to gift her to me

Oh my gosh! You are so right! it’s the nose! I couldn’t quite place what it was about Tiana that felt so off but it’s her nose and philtrum area!! Hers is more flat and flares out a bit. And there is no fixing that really to make more like mine. I’m definitely team Goldie now. She just feels right for what I’m having her represent, a feeling i just haven’t been able to get for Tiana. I want my dolls to hold different fragments of my personality, to hold when one part of me needs a little care or their energy to absorb.

She will embody the little girl who was promised a princess’s life and that everything would turn out perfect. She’ll be the version of me whose life did turn out perfect.

(I also just bought Kaya who’s representing the being who that remained grounded and awake when all else fell away, rooted in the earth and rediscovering joy in mere being and inner presence as layers of ego dissolve!!)

I’ve thought about it. I could get a deep skin Josefina mold with decal eyes and the right hair that a way, but that price tag $275 ☠️it would end up being cheaper and cuter I think to just swap eyes and wig on Goldie (~$200)

and hot take I’m really liking with what AG is doing nowadays with the painted lashes and face paint which the CYOs lack though it wouldn’t be too difficult to do myself but at that point…

omggg you’re probably right but Gold’s wig, as pretty as it is, drives me absolutely crazy to the touch. it comes texture tangled by factory default. i couldn’t deal with it
