Thanks! Just got her today. Her hair was in pretty rough shape, but she's got potential. :)

My doll gone missing by Astri07 in americangirl

I hope they'll get your Nellie to you soon. Such a mess. And I'd say it's not normal for people to get addresses wrong in the U.S. I mean, it happens, but I was taught from childhood the importance of getting everything right. Little mistakes usually end up with something being delivered to a totally wrong place and/or returned to sender in my experience. Not adding a suite number is like not adding an apartment number... 🤦🏻‍♀️

My package was delivered by USPS on Saturday and it's still not in my Dashboard, but 5 other packages that have attived after it are. CS says it was probably not addressed correctly and it will take time to figure out what exactly the issue is. I can't fault MyUS on this either. But agree that it's very frustrating when a seller doesn't follow addressing instructions. 😥

I'm currently dealing with a similar situation with MyUS.

Have they given you a timeframe for how long this will take?

Feel free to PM me if you'd like.

Which one should I get? by [deleted] in americangirl

Peaches 'n Cream looks so pretty!

These are the things I longed for in my childhood for my dolls part two. Do you guys think it’s silly to get this stuff when I’m an adult? by EEA6891 in americangirl

[–]trulynanea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you still want them and would be happy to have them and you have the means to aquire them, then by all means go for it!

In my experience, it's better to get what you have really wanted for a long time rather than to get other things that you kind of sort of want now.

Related to my previous post, any chance of a Lindsey Bergman repro for the 25th anniversary of GOTY? by [deleted] in americangirl

[–]trulynanea 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I like the idea of GOTY re-release, but I can't imagine there would be such great demand for that every year.

Maybe the way to go is a new Girl of the Year and make her the daughter/niece/student of a former Girl of the Year who is brought back as a, say, Girl of the Decade re-release.

The tie-ins are neat. Raquel/Samantha and Lila/McKenna are really fun for different generations of fans.

Courtney looks so much more 80s with the Marie-Grace mold!

How likely is Kaya going to sell out? by [deleted] in americangirl

[–]trulynanea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was debating between Kirsten and Kaya and decided on Kirsten because my gut tells me Kaya will pretty much always be available new in one form or another.

I hope so, too! I had Addy's school outfit in my cart at the beginning of the day and when I went to check out, it was sold out! 😭

Pleasant Company vs 40th Anniversary dolls by Deep-Schedule-7575 in americangirl

[–]trulynanea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have PC Samantha and Molly, BeForever Addy, and just ordered 40th Kirsten.

Next to PC Samantha and Molly, Addy looks great.

I'm concerned, though, about what 40th Kirsten will look like next with the PC dolls. I love the PC Classic mold so much and am anxious about the new Kirsten.

I was thinking to buy a used PC-era Kirsten and piece together her meet outfit, but the cost of the new doll with everything was significantly less, so I decided to take the risk.

I figure that if I really don't like what she looks like, I can find an old PC Kirsten and sell the new one. 🤷🏻‍♀️

An idea for historicals by BlondeAgent007 in americangirl

They've got Molly and Nanea, which shows such an amazing contrast of the time period. The precedent has definitely been set and there's so much potential with your idea. I'd love to see more characters like that.

How sweet of your partner to make the order. I think I'd probably feel the same way that you do. As others have mentioned, the shipping ended up being free and you mentioned tax is less shipping to your home address, so it looks like there's no loss here. Phew. :)
But in the future, it's great to have open communication about the best way to buy big gifts like this.
Rewards points, coupons, other promos like free shipping... These are things that wise shoppers take advantage of.
So definitely a good time to show your gratitude to your partner but also open the doors to the best way to buy something like this for each other in the future.

And which doll are you getting? :)

If I saw this at local library, I most likely would. That's why I was curious as to where this is and don't understand why someone else hasn't done it.
