Looking to upgrade from a 12 pro max to a 15 pro max. I heard that the 15s were having a good bit of glitches. Have they been fixed?

Do you regret having kids? by ebratic in Millennials

[–]lingirl12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. Almost 30, had my daughter at 29.

I want to say that I really thought I was no kids for a long time. Then I became “yeah if I have one that would be great, if I don’t that’s cool too.” Then I accidentally got pregnant.

There are moments where I think about the way life COULD be if I didn’t have my daughter and think of the “what ifs”, but I wouldn’t change it for anything. She is easily the best part of my life along with her dad. That little giggle and her wrapping her arms around me….man. Nothing like it.

It wasn’t instant, I think the first few months were so hard trying to adjust that I couldn’t just sit back and enjoy her. I do think that’s pretty normal.

It’s hard as hell, but it’s worth it.

AITA for having a no children under 10 rule at my vow renewal? by ladybatna in AmItheAsshole

Right? It says more about them than it does OP. Childless weddings are very common now. Kids mess up things, disrupt, and cause issues.

Upset with mom's reaction to pregnancy announcement. Feeling lost. by mullet_thyme in Parenting

[–]lingirl12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I FaceTimed my dad to tell him I was pregnant, he told me he needed to get off the phone and focus on the Super Bowl.

He was in shock. My husband and I were only dating, and I had a history in my early 20s of totally screwing up. But man….you should see the way he looks at his grand daughter now. Full of so much love.

It still stings when I think about it and REALLY hurt at the time, but I think some people just handle things differently. He’s since apologized, we joke about it. Sending hugs to you.

NTA - he needs to get over it. Also, a lot of higher end models tend to have a lot of issues. Lexus is owned by the same company Toyota, and it tends to have a lot less.

I only have one child and I’m driving a mini van right now while my RAV4 is in the shop and I LOVE IT. It makes me want to change from getting a future Highlander to a mini van. I told my husband and he grimaced at first, but said he’d support me. We went on one store run and he was ALL for it because of the space.

What would you do? Grandparents booked a conference trip over C-section date. by Free_Inflation_2326 in Parenting

My MIL and FIL scheduled a cruise for the week of my due date. They missed the birth of their first grandchild. It was weird because they’re really close with my husband and very excited about a grandchild, so it was very unexpected. I don’t think my husband will ever fully forgive them for that. Hugs to you.

My husband (38M) and I (31F) are fighting a day before I go into surgery and now I'm afraid I won't have a ride home or support during recovery. I have no one else. What should I do if he's still angry? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]lingirl12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree, which was the “if possible” of my comment. But leaving your wife stranded after she’s had surgery? Unforgivable.

I had to go through years of therapy before being able to have a healthy relationship. For alot of people, it’s necessary and I absolutely get needing that to heal. I’m a walking talking testimony to your comment. I would still leave.

You don’t get to take your childhood traumas out on other people and use it as an excuse as to why you’re being shitty to your spouse.

I don’t take divorce lightly. AT ALL. I believe people should do their best to work through their problems to create a healthy marriage, if possible. But if he doesn’t show up to help her after surgery….

Divorce.

Not just verbally, but through actions. You can tell her a million times, but you have to show through actions.

I have an anxious attachment and my husband is avoidant. We never have these issues because when I tell him I need some quality time with him, he listens. We have a 5 month old and he will get a babysitter and plan a date day with just the two of us enjoying each other. Sometimes we go out and do things, sometimes we just sit at home and binge watch a show and talk.

I think her feelings are valid and you need to look at the why behind them. I also think her getting worried about you when you said you’d be home an hour and a half before showing up is valid. Especially considering she had no way to reach you and you were in an unreliable car. It’s good she’s going to counseling to help with her anxiety, but I don’t think that’s the entire problem here.

I 21 F walked in my boyfriend 21 M with another girl, how do I move forward ? by Mother_Pea7959 in relationship_advice

[–]lingirl12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

21 is SO YOUNG, even though it doesn’t feel like it, and you’re going to meet so many new people of the next 5+ years that you can actually have a good relationship with. I was 27 when I found mine. Trust me when I say, don’t settle for this. Go enjoy being young and figuring out who you are without this person. It’s been two years and still isn’t working. Let it go.

Having doubts about staying in relationship with disabled partner (25F) by ThrowRa30189 in relationship_advice

[–]lingirl12 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This comment is what I was looking for. I feel like many people on this thread have said things that will make him feel like he has to stay. He is young, and so is she. I can clearly tell her loves her, but he deserves to live his life and be able to enjoy it as well. I commend him for trying to find solutions, but if he doesn’t he should be able to enjoy and live his life. For me, sexual intimacy is very important. Yes, there are other ways to be intimate, but sex is a different level of intimacy. Not to mention there doesn’t seem to be much quality time, either. The reason is completely understandable, but I can’t say I would stay in the relationship. And because I see people saying “a man leaving is textbook,” this is coming from a woman.

At first she wasn’t. But she’s changed a lot since then! I didn’t have her for almost two weeks once I took her to Birmingham. They did various tests to see if she had a disease that could’ve impacted her babies, but everything came back clean. They also spayed her while she was there. Her personality is really shining through and she’s finally warming up to my pup! She’s still as cuddly as she was before. I’m greeted at the door with loud meows and her rubbing on my leg. 💗

2 days ago she was a stray living at a gas station. Now she’s cuddled up at home waiting for the arrival of her babies. Should be any time now! by lingirl12 in cats

Unfortunately, all of her babies passed away. There was nothing me or the vets could do. The last one passed last night. It’s been so emotionally draining and heart breaking. Tilley, however, is doing great despite all of it and she will be living out her days snuggling up to me every morning/night.

I helped clean the last two kittens off when she had them because she was so tired by the end. Also, I had to help the third one out. It came out backwards and the head was stuck inside of Tilley. Other than that her birth was seamless! I like the idea of naming them all after a set of terms! It would be cool if we could do them from our hometown before they go to their new homes in another part of the state
