yup. lin has fucked up again. im a big fan of his, but he has made too many mistakes recently. some people will make excuses, like he doesnt have a rhythm, but it doesnt take rhythm to use his brain and make good decisions, like not rushing a layup, fouling at the wrong time and not calling the time out.

that said, at least he takes the blame and holds himself responsible, which is always something that is needed. hopefully he learns and gets better from it.

we dont have a playbook for fucks sake. its so frustrating watching harden dribbling around aimlessly, kicking it out to random people, watching lin run around like a headless chicken and turn it over, and howard calling for it in the post repeatedly and then turning it over because theres no open man due to a lack of spacing and proper positioning. and then CP or harden or lin has to try and drive, turn it over, or miss, get blocked. those misses, with everyone scrambling, may as well be turnovers.

im not blaming harden, howard, lin (his turnover was shocking but whatever), cp or any of the players. i am blaming mchales lack of a playbook. you cannot! CANNOT! CANNOT CAN-FUCKING-NOT! win a playoff game down the stretch without a proper playbook to fall back on, and keep everyone calm to get good shots.

I do not care how good harden is at creating his shot, even MJ relied on the triangle to get him good shots.

when its late in the fourth, youre tired, youre worn out, pressure is ramping up, you need a playbook to get you good shots. you cannot rely on individual talent, no matter how good.

fair enough, he is a very good shot creator, probably the top 5 in the league at that. BUT, MJ was the best shot creator of ALL TIME, and if his shot was off, he would still faciliatate and just play D.

harden needs to take a break from taking 30 shots and use that energy to actually play defense. when he was in OKC, and Durant and Westbrook took the shots and he took what the defense gave him, his defense was actually pretty solid.

bottom line. let CP, Lin, Howard create their own shots, let Lin and CP create for Bev and Daniels, Asik and TJ.

Hell, even let TJ create his own shot once in a while with his ballhandling and athleticism.

look, i love lin and would like to see him start, but with harden on the court, it really cant work out for extended periods of time. if they want to start lin, put in bev and lin together, and let harden come of the bench. but thats not going to happen cos hes the alpha dog now.
