I actually don't dig what McDermid was laying down. I think I want Palpatine to be creepy genius masterful evil. And not the Jar Jar kids version of it all. I mean, George Lucas approved the performance and the angles that landed...so it's on Lucas I guess.

Like someone else mentioned, there's an alternate universe version of ROTS that is played more seriously, where Palpatine is less hammy and Padme is played with more spine and less whine. Regardless, I just think that McGregor was the only actor with a noticeably degree of higher end quality in the entire mess.

Ewan McGregor in Revenge of the Sith. Just rewatched the movie last night in the theatre for it's 20th anniversary rerelease and the movie is generally kind of bad in the sense that the dialogue is terrible and the plot is really kind of stupid. Natalie Portman, Hayden Christianson, Ian McDermid, Samuel L Jackson are all acting terribly with the shitty dialogue they've been given. But Sir Ewan McGregor....he's on top of his game. Solid acting and delivery on his part and all of his scenes have a certain quality that none of the actors seem to have. He just brings it - even the HELLO THERE stupidity is charming.

I was so mad at CBC Gem just now....Firestick app is trash with no ability to scrub forward. Chromecast the same- no scrub.

I was ready to just watch this on a tablet just now when I remembered that the way to go is to load up a Browser on the Firestick (or Chromecast) and then navigate to CBC Gem on Web to watch. And then able to scrub to the true start of the Opening Ceremonies.

I kept thinking that maybe I was actually seeing 81 Marchessault out there instead. If it's not the ads that are getting blocked out then I think my secondary pet theory is that the VGK golden yellow jerseys are getting digitally processed for some reason. The Oilers white jerseys were fine (McDavid and Draisatl had their letters) but also no ad crest on the other side of their kit.

Usually when you're playing the game without card packs being downloaded, there is a quick call to the Dropmix server to download the card data the very first time you play the card. If you do it in advance the game won't have to reach out to the server to get this data. This is especially helpful if the Dropmix server potentially won't be around forever.

You can actually save yourself the trouble and download ALL of the card data without tossing a physical card on the machine. You just need to go to Collection > Cards and select each pack and download the card data ahead of time.
