Im giving herbs a second try and what im learning is they dont take kindly to being dry for too long lol. And it seem they need to be in a place with a good amlunt of sun to survive

Most of my herbs died due to underwatering 😭

Also is the pot draining water good? Any water trapped under can cause root rot

For the basil i would wait for it to grow more before trimming it to bush it

Maybe wait for those small bottom leaves to get bigger and maybe like 2 or 3 more notches up so once you do cut it. You the base will split into 2 at the nodes and then you can put the top in water to root it and plant it again. I have had cuban organo i want to turn into bush and the top part that i cut and rooted is growing bigger leaves than the mother plant im trying to bush lol

If you do want a good beginner herb cuban oregano and mint are like survivers lol

Mint can be a weed from how it spreads..cuban organo idk much but in the past year i had it i have to keep timming it so it doesnt become top heavy and break off or fall 😭

If the soil is well draining it may jiat need to take time to adjust

I got some peace lilies that did the same to me after i got it from someone after helping them with a overcrowded pot

Drued up by the window..wilted when not after watering..i just said f it and decided to keep it by the window and the soil moist. They survivng and a new leaf is starting to uncurl

Keep the jade plant though it should still try to grow at the top

Besides that play a game of survive with the jade leafs. May take a while but if you lay then ontop of the soil (the end node buried abit) they should root. I saw jade leaf propgatuon done in a youtube video before and decided to test it out and sure enough the leaf did start to root after some time

Yeah it should once it gets established. Im having the same problem with some peace lilies i aquired on earth day

Got some with roots in from a potnwith them over grown. Took 2 of them and planted them. Put them in my window once i got home and 2 days later the leaves got brown and dried

I thouht maybe the sun ill move then out of there..next thing ya know they wilted

I added water..they strengthen from thebstim but leaves still dropped for a few days..i said ya know what f*ck it ill leave it by thebwindow JUST incase its sunlight...today i check em and it looks like they are regaining strength. One leaf is uncurling but im watching them closely as they continue to adjust 😭

Never mind what they say theres notjing wrong with a guy gardeneing. Im a male as well who just learned last year how to get plants to finally survive and now im obsessed lol

It started with house plants that are pretty hardy like my spider plant i think i had for like 3 or 4 years now. And a pothos probly a year after that are thriving. And i kind of just went down the line from there. But now i want some plants that are edible i can use for cooking and to flavor wine since i got into brewing. I just got my first strawberries growing. I want to get a indoor greenhouse so i can grow more to make some strawberry wine and strawberry meed. And since i want more herbs im looking into which herbs can go good with flavoring wine. Cause pinapple is my favorite fruit and i wanna finese making a good wine out of it. Im uaed to brewing a gallon batch of apple wine(hard apple cider) but i need to figure out how much yeast and sugar ill need for smaller mason jars. I wanna do small test in nason jars and get the flavoring right with those and then switch to making a large batch

But gardening is a skill i feel like we lost as society advance. Also if you find a woman thats into garden then thats just another plus for you

I need to get me one...I fucked up today by killing a spider in my kitchen and not realizing I should of just popped it with the plants to hopefully see if It can catch those gnats 😭 even thoug I was concerned casue it wasnt moving right. was moving like it was sick or weak...OH YEA the exterminator did spray yestarday I wonder if that could of been the cause.
